If the only that you have kept under your pillow in preparation for the apocalypse is a pocket knife, then you need to think again! Motoped has this super cool moped (this is probably the first time that we have used cool and moped in one sentence!), which can get you pretty much anywhere in the biggest baddest survivor series that you could have imagined!
Okay, so let us start in first gear! Motoped is a company which makes mopeds for a variety of uses. There are three variations of this – The Cruzer, Pro and Survival. These machines are tiny 49cc engines which can be increased in size as well. Built to cover a variety of terrain. The machine can cover up to 800km on a single tank of fuel and weighs in at around 60kg. The Pro and Cruzer are interesting machines which can make your commute fun, be on or off tarmac! But the Survival is what really caught our eye.

A utilitarian, military-inspired super-hauler, it comes outfitted with a universal rack that accepts a myriad of bolt-on mounts, harnesses, and fitments so you can pack along darned near anything you can imagine.
A primary fuel tank plus the added fuel from two optional red side-mounted fuel tanks will take you 250 to 300 miles without a fill-up. That’s a good thing when you’re traveling through the desert on a horse with no name. . .

The Motoped Survival
And so we did check out the Motoped Black Ops which is on a different level entirely. This is a special edition bike which is based on the Survival Motoped. In addition to the heavy duty rear rack and military inspired theme, the Black Ops gets lights, carabiners, knives, phone mount, shovel, hatchet and even a crossbow! It is difficult to imagine a person using the crossbow and the phone mount at the same time. Browsing through Instagram while shooting an arrow through someone’s heart! Okay so we got a bit carried away with the crossbow addition. Though you use the pedals to ride it a like a bicycle, it isn’t a very great idea considering the Motoped is 60kg. But you can help out the motor a bit by pedalling and if your legs produce more power than the engine, then the bike will run on your pedal power!
