Triumph Street Triple 800 caught testing in Spain near company’s test facility. The company is planning to boost the Street Triple range with larger capacity engine from 675cc to 800cc. With the launch expected to happen in 2017, four variants with the more powerful engine will be introduced.
Triumph Motorcycles conducted an online survey, according to which firm is planning for a 110 BHP base model with non-adjustable Kayaba suspension; a 115 BHP ‘R’ version with adjustable Showa kit and radial Nissins; a 125 BHP ‘RT’ model with touring extras; and the RS, also with 125 BHP, plus Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes.
The survey listed few other changes as well including the addition of three riding modes, track mode and a new TFT colour display. It is also suggested that the RT variant would be optionally available in half-faired, sports-tourer form.
