Skully Helmet Investors have fired their two top guys – Marcus Weller, CEO and Mitch Weller, Chief of Staff – as they have continuously missed the deadlines to deliver the Skully AR-1. It is a helmet with a rear-facing camera, a small computer system and heads-up-display oculus.
It is clear that the company’s Board of Directors have had enough of the delays in the deliverables and decided to make changes in the top most level of management. It is likely that the current COO, Martin Fitcher, will take over as the CEO.
The Weller brothers have been known to be off-target with their promises while coming across as off-putting and disingenuous. For instance, they appeared to have misguided people about where the Skully helmets are made. They have earlier claimed that the helmets are made in the USA, but investigations have revealed that the manufacturing is heavily based out of China. In fact, the software development for the electronics in the helmet is said to be done in India.
Nevertheless, with this drastic change, the company’s investors and Board of Directors hope to bring the company goals back on track.
