To keep the battle going with the competitors, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) rolled out another update to the Gixxer 155. This time, equipping this street sport motorcycle with ABS. This was a much needed update as the rival motorcycles from TVS and Honda’s stable were already equipped with this safety feature.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sajeev Rajasekharan, EVP, Sales and Marketing, SMIPL, said, “Ever since its launch, the Gixxer has emerged as a benchmark for the segment, managing to ‘Stay Ahead of the Pack’ in terms of technology and performance. The ABS option allows us to improve on an already exciting riding experience for our Gixxer customers. The Gixxer series is an important cog of our India product-strategy. With enhancements like ABS, we will continue to improve on the value-proposition we offer to our customers.”
Apart from ABS, Suzuki loaded the Gixxer with another feature named Suzuki Jet Cooling System (SJCS) to ensure better cooling of engine resulting in better power and mileage. With the temperature soaring above 40 degrees in North India, the riders also need something like SJCS to keep themselves cool!
The motorcycle continues to get powered by 4-stroke single cylinder 154.9cc BS-IV engine that produces 14.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and 14 NM @ 6000 rpm.
Colors available
The new Suzuki Gixxer ABS will be available in three colours namely Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, Candy Sonoma Red/Metallic Sonic Silver and Glass Sparkle Black; and the starting price of INR 87,250 (ex-showroom Delhi).
