Saw a Ducati 600 (yes it is a bicycle) at Surender Cycles for INR26300/-
is it really from the Ducati ? The logo on it did say it was originally from Ducati though....Riding the Indian Monster : 200NS....

4K DOLLARS?!?!?!Originally posted by clickguru View PostKindly give me advice, I have a 4K dollar budget for a bike, is it enough? what bike I could buy for this money?
Try this one Specialized Bicycle Components

Or if gravity isn't your thing - CICLI PINARELLO S.p.A.

Though the latter would be out of your considerable budget

Puhleese don't recommend this pile of metal rubbish! I do wish they would go back to their simple roots with the old Hero Ranger. Less extra metal, less extra weight, no crappy gears and generally acceptable.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postthen you can go ahead,give razorback a look.
DTB is just some silly thing cooked up by the Indian cycling industry. It is not a term/category used outside India.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postmtb=mountain terrain bike
dtb=dirt terrain bike
True!Originally posted by sayank10 View Postwhat do you need?
ans=a city bike.
Generally try to avoid gears unless you are entering the Shimano space. Even then, try to avoid the base (Tourney) level. Gears a great but only if they are decent quality. Having said that, the Mach and Hawk are decent BUT please be careful when buying because a larger size can cause knee and back problems.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postgo for bsa mach 19"/19" 6 speed/22".all of them fall within your price range.
Yeah but they're crap! They are more a marketing gimmick than anything - a sort of promotional venture. Don't bother with them.Originally posted by Akshay.murdeshwar View PostYes DUCATI cycles are available in market

Go for Cannondale Trail 6 if you can. That is a pure gem and quite advanced too.Originally posted by Enthusiast View PostHello All,

Why are you going for a disc brake cycle. V brakes do the trick just as well. Only if you are going to be riding in slush a lot of times will you really feel discs are better than v brakes.Originally posted by Enthusiast View PostHello All,

If you are in Bangalore, you can get in touch with Venky from Wheelsports. He keeps some very VFM Merida and KHS bikes. Treks and Cannondales are very good bikes but are a bit overpriced.
BTW I ride a trek 4300V.
Also make sure that you get a cycle in which the front suspension can be locked out.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Any of the cycles in that price range are capable of doing that and more. The most important thing in a cycle is its frame. And all these bikes are from reputed builders, so you are in safe hands if you are willing to spend 30k.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

There are too many companies to list out. Anything that costs a 1000 is good enough entry level helmet.Originally posted by shrinathrao View Post[OT] Hey guys my friend is looking for good quality cycling helmets in pune, so can you suggest good brands with the approx prices.
Less than that avoid. The more you spend the better, comfort, weight, aero dynamics etc you will get. Also try out the helmet. Make sure its a snug fit.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
