By now you must have realized that the "booking" on Jan 24th was only to pacify you (eyewash) and was not really considered! Else like others even you would've been ready to take the bike off the first lot. Sorry to say this though.Originally posted by joshzma225 View PostSo when did you book the bike? eh??? That's not true (at least at the Mumbai dealer)...Originally posted by Shubz View PostBy now you must have realized that the "booking" on Jan 24th was only to pacify you (eyewash) and was not really considered! The KJMarg dealer has got only 10 bikes in the first lot. He is expecting more soon.
Accordingly, he(or Bajaj, not sure) has started allocating these bikes to those who have booked on the 24th. But as you would know, more than 10 guys have booked on that day.
Good thing is that dispatches have started. And from what I hear, the factory can produce a couple of thousands per month.
So, expect a call soon

Thats what I'm talking about!!!! Thank You NikhilB thats some good intel there!!! Yes you are right apparently I was number 26 even after reaching there at 12noon...in any case I would think it irresponsible on the part of the KTM Store to just take ADVANCE bookings for the heck of it!!! But this explains a lot :-) by the way NikhilB were you among the few that had booked that day?Originally posted by NikhilB View Posteh??? That's not true (at least at the Mumbai dealer)...

From business point of view, it doesn't make sense to increase prices when the bike is not even on roads! They might increase prices if the owners give excellent review & demand exceeds the supply (simple economics)!Originally posted by razorBlades View Postany idea when they are going to increase the prices of KTM?Hero Honda Karizma

Got a call from KTM South Delhi (Vasant Kunj) at 1300 hrs today. They informed me that the bike is here and will be handed over to me at a special ceremony on Friday, at their head office in Karol Bagh. The ceremony will be held for the people who had booked their bike on the first day.
They also asked me to make the balance payment before Thursday, so, the bike can be handed over on Friday.

By the way, had posted my understanding of what transpired on the 24th at the showroom in the other KTM thread (link).
May give you an idea to why they began accepting bookings early (I would've done the same, if in their place).I like 'em Naked

Hey thanks for the link NikhilB...in fact thats what the Kmarg manager told me as well and although they could not give out booking numbers he was writing the details of everyone giving PDCs in a register of his, and was maintaining that I was number 26 according to how many people had already given him PDCs already, his name was Sanjiv Prajapati I guess, he was a big hefty guy. So hopefully it should go in that order, if I'm not mistaken he still has that register with everyone's names in it.Last edited by joshzma225; 02-21-2012, 10:21 PM.Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.
