Appreciate your post and comments post the test ride, but you're requested to proof read your sentences prior hitting the submit button. Also, what is a rear kick lever?

haha !

Great review, great photos. Though, it is incorrect that this is the lightest in this category. FZ-FI weighs 132 kg. and the FZ v1 is 135 kg as well. I haven't ridden it, but I feel,

FZ remains better looking. The exhaust here looks just so good. But Yamaha offers more colors, and they keep introducing new ones.
This is definitely more powerful than FZ at lower and upper power band.
From the photos, I can make out that there is no chain protector. That chain will catch dirt and require quite some maintenance!

Regardless, I've a strong feeling that this is going to be a game changer for Suzuki and Yamaha alike.

Hi divya.. I am sorry for my mistakes, also I am very weak in English so every time I avoid to post here.... I deleted my post. and the word " rear kick lever" is just kick lever. my vocabulary is very weak . I am learning some English after my work just for love with xbhp , bikes, bikes reviews and travelogues. again sorry if any mistake in this post also.

Bike could be easily mistaken for an FZ with the NS fuel tank. Suzuki seems to have a great product, but like someone asked, are they a bit to late ?

I still wouldn't think, 'late'. Yamaha was considered so, until they launched the R15, which turned around their fortunes & their image.

If the excitement in my office, is anything to go by after this launch, all I can say is, people crave for novelty in spite of having similar products. Also, there are some die-hard fans of Suzuki, who wanted a bike with the smoothness & refinement of GS 150R, but with more style.

People from those camps would be happy.

If i remember correctly, it is an o-ring chain and yes that is a chain link there.

The MonkWhen it comes to xBhp's gixxer review i expected a detailed and exhaustive review.(Reminds me of xBhp's KTM DUKE 200 review). Anyway very good review and very good pics and i have some more queries. Does it have full DC lighting? What is the compression ratio? (asking because it is an aluminium engine and Suzuki is claiming much more mileage than Yamaha FZS which weighs same and has same tyres). How are the gear ratios? short or tall?

The Inazuma is supposed to be a baby Bandit, according to some.

Well...inazuma does look a bit like the bandit, if that's done ...then Suzuki should put the inazuma engine in a chromed out mini cruiser ... about time something took on the avenger , would buy one in a heart beat if its priced at say 1.5 l
