Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155 Ridden and Reviewed

Saw two Gixxers back to back, being rode at around 90Kmph(Acc to my CBR's speedo). I was tailing them for for a long 10 Km stretch. Was actually taking a detailed look. Man, the bike looks absolutly magnificent and especially in Blue colour. Only other occasion I went ga ga over a design(among our small Indian bikes) was the FZ16, back in 2009. But this one has bettered that.
    PS. Looks are subjective.
More over, I was amazed, how they could maintain those speeds for that long. Even picked up well after slowing down. I expect Vibs are minimised. This bike deserves a Test Ride.

Being a 155cc engine it can manage over 90kmph easily even more than that. The blue colour looks awesome at first i tought it was a 250cc sports bike from suzuki amazed by the build quality & looks sure it looks better than fz no doubt in it.

Will it prove to be a good upgrade from my 2yr old pulsar 135ls

And I saw someone stating mileage around 40 only
        While company states 60+

It would be a very small upgrade.not worth the amount Go for atleast 200 to 225 cc bikes.if mileage is your concern you can consider apache or pulsar 200 ns

FZV2is 149 cc with 12.8 Nm torque at 6000 RPM and the gearbox remains the same. So the torque at rear wheel is far lesser than Gixxer with 14 Nm torque at the same RPM. Power to weight and torque to weight ratios favors Gixxer.
Due to the larger disc, the brake of Gixxer is most trustable.
Test ride both bikes and decide which one is suitable for you.

I concur on this. 150cc is a very good segment currently in India and with a decent build quality and FE, Gixxer would win hands down against its competition.

                    Finally making my move
                    Going for gixxer

One question why is there so much confusion about FE
And is it going to really give 50+ at least ...

Good decision waiting for your owner ship review.

FE should be ideally between 45-50.

You can expect 55 - 60 kml if not racing. Gixxer is lighter i.e. 135 kgs and all the gears are taller compared with any other 150 - 200 cc bike.
