It is not given with the bike. You have to pay another 400 - 450 rupees for it.

The only accessories you get with the Gixxer are a pair or rear view mirrors and a saree guard without the small plate to place legs on (when women sit on it facing the side).

Accessories for which you need to pay: Number plate, crash guard and a modified saree guard (if you need one)

Went to Madurai for a personal work and while roaming inside the city came across a suzuki dealer Surabhi Suzuki and just to have a look at the Gixxer and Inazuma went inside but they didn't have the Inazuma but had 4 or 5 Gixxer .I went near a Gixxer and was staring it the SE came near me and started to explain all the technical details and offered me a test ride but I told them I wont buy from you guys cause my home town is 270 kms away and I will buy from my home town only I just wanted to have a personal look at the bike ( the bike hasn't arrived to our local showroom) so I came inside your showroom . To my surprice after that also were ready to give the test ride and asked my feedback so went for a small test ride and I felt awesome man what a bike I liked it very much felt all the gears are a little bit taller..

I had heard a lot about the bad suzuki ASS but these guys were really nice .Lets hope good for them.

                  Hi,

I'm planning to buy the Gixxer soon, can someone let me know how comfortable the riding stance on this bike is, Can this be used for some long distance touring of up to 450 km once every 2 months? Most of my riding would be in Bangalore city, but plan to take it on a long ride back to my native sometimes... Honest responses appreciated..

                    hi Niranjan,

The riding stance on the Gixxer is extremely comfortable and shouldn't give any troubles whatsoever in long runs. The wide step seat just adds to the comfort and give little bit of support to the lower back as well.

                      Thanks Sunil,

Also any idea about the pillion comfort here? I believe the pillion rider sits quite higher, also i notice that the saree guard doesn't have a footrest like in other bikes..

                      Thanks..

Frankly, if you are seriously looking for pillion comfort(Ladies sitting one sided) , this is not the bike you should opt for. You can look for Xtreme/Pulsar/Apache etc.
PS: You should ask queries in the ownership thread. You will get best replies.

Suzuki had finally joined the party in street sports bike, bookings started to pick up fast,

Its head to head with Yamaha now, they came out with a great product, but are they good enough to beat Yamaha engine refinement and comfort handling

                          Lets wait and watch..

Sunil had blasted great pictures, keep the good work buddy

Gixxer is a great product no doubt. But one thing Suzuki lags behind in is the after sales service. They have to improve on that aspect.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

                              hi all,

I own a Yamaha SZR. No complaint regarding smoothness or handling or pick up. Only part where I am facing issue is mileage, I am getting around 35 - 40 on average.
If I am looking for better mileage, better long ride comfort and better top end speed, is it worth the upgrade?

                                Well Said Krishna !!

Suzuki haven't faced large numbers sales in any product, Gixxer would challenge them in terms of service and availability of spares, hope Suzuki will be fastening their seat belt now

                                Hi,

if you happy on the Yamaha machine in all aspects except mileage part, i would suggest you to take a look on fz v2.0, Yamaha had took the mileage part very seriously and introduced blue core engine which claims better fuel efficiency than FZ v 1 and SZR.
The FZ v.20 had shed little weight than the elder brother FZ v1 and comes with a fuel injection, its a best choice for long ride comfort and sure it wont disappoint top end speed comparing to SZR,

                                Thanks
