Hello all last week took testdrive of gixxer. What I liked was its lowend torque which is missing on most of the 150cc bikes aspecially fz 2.0 even vibration is very well damped and awesome digital console. According to me you can choose gixxer over fz 2.0 blindly and cheaper too

One of my close friend testdrived it last week actually he is looking for a 150-200cc segment bike but after the test ride his decision was only GIXXER nothing else. He is going to buy in this week & he opted for black colour. He paid an advance of 3000rs.
His observations are :-
1) Butter smooth engine along with great pulling ability
2) Low end power is brilliant
3) It can go up to 90-95 speeds very quickly with out any hesitation. The engine is very revv friendly.
4) Build quality and paint work is amazing from the suzuki
5))braking is very good no rear locks even under hard braking, MRF tyres provides excellent grip levels on this bike.
6) Its very much fun to handle.
7) Almost NIL vibrations even at higher rpms
8) The last one he loved is the exhaust note its different and punchy especially at higher rpm range.
Those who are looking for the comparision review between new FZ & GIXXER even tha apache 180 also included in the comparision.

Review says Apache 180 is only Rs.400 dearer to Gixxer. Then what is the price of Apache 160?Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostOne of my close friend testdrived it last week actually he is looking for a 150-200cc segment bike but after the test ride his decision was only GIXXER nothing else. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155 Ridden and Reviewed
Had test drive of Gixxer today, i had a lil doubt that it will cause problems for me (my height is 6 ft) but as soon as i rode it, i was proved wrong.
My obervations
1. I loved the sound of the engine, you would just want to revv it.
2. Handling is superb.
3. Stability is also top notch.
4. GEar shifting was smooth.
5. very smooth engine.
6. Engine didn't feel tired even at higher RPM.
7. Front brakes were not upto the mark, u have to apply it hard
8. Cluth is lil tight i guess,
I have not taken TD of FZ version 2 yet, but i am already loving this, specially that engine sound <3

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155 Ridden and Reviewed
Hello Guys,
After a while back into xbhp.....
I am located in Bangalore and drive almost 20kms to work. I was with the idea of getting a bike with a 90k budget a year ago
with Apache 180, FZ and 200NS in mind. Later changed my mind into purchasing a Apache 180+ABS to get better braking control. But due to personal issues I had given up on my biking dream.
Then after the recent amazing hikes+bonus in my company I once again thought of buying one last month.
So keeping in mind that FZ-FI v2.0 & Gixxer 155 has been launched I did TD to reassess my decision.
FZ-FI v2.0: Light vehicle, Good Pickup, Comfortable seats & Smooth Ride, Great Handling, No Vibes till 80kmph(max speed which I was able to reach in my TD)
Apache 180+ABS: Amazing pickup, Comfortable seating position, blazing fast but prone to vibes; After riding a FZ-FI v2.0 Apache feels really uncomfortable to ride due to vibes
Pulsar 200NS: Again everything the Apache was but little to no vibes; I noticed a lot of vibes somewhere above 5000rpm
Gixxer: Light vehicle, Great Pickup-Better than FZ, Comfortable seats & Smooth Ride, Great Handling, No Vibes till 90kmph(max speed which I was able to reach in my TD)
After reassessment these are the features that I wanted in a bike - Good Pickup + No Vibrations + Comfortable ride
So far FZ-FI v2.0 and Gixxer was able to satisfy these conditons; So with a Budget of 90k, I happily walked into a Suzuki Showroom, paid them and like they promised got my bike within 2days..... Its been just 3 days since I have got my bike; I am already loving it!
Icing on the Cake: Reviews of Gixxer as the new king of 150cc segment in almost all blogs/sites! Woot!Last edited by SriramN; 09-22-2014, 04:59 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155 Ridden and Reviewed
Got delivery of my Gixxer yesterday.
Before finalizing on Gixxer, I went thro test riding new FZ v2.0
gixxer is just better in many ways, both on paper and actual riding quality. Gixxer beats other 150cc segment bikes in many aspects right from looks department to the engine refineness. I Will try to post detailed review and pics later.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155 Ridden and Reviewed
Few days ago took test drive of Gixxer and boy I fall in love with it.
Next day I was at home and booked one for me
I have to say, the bike is simply outstanding. Good job suzuki.
The ride quality was brilliant, handling was pretty good. Breaking was good but lacks bite though it gave enough feedback.
The built quality was pretty good too considering the competitive price.
The rear mudguard looks well thought if we consider new FZ v2.0 as the rival. I hated FZ's rear tire hugger :P.
The engine seems refined. Can't say much about it right now.Jayesh Panchal

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155 Ridden and Reviewed
bike looks refreshed because it was all night raining in Bangalore
what i think,
1. instrument cluster is very good. i just enjoy looking at it. especially in night on turning on the backlight. user can set rpm limit. i think its a highlight among bikes in this segment
2. gear shifting is ultra smooth. couple of times i hit false neutral but its mostly because i need to get used to it
3. ergonomics - this is the most important factor which i considered while finalizing this bike. and gixxer has the best ergonomics as i felt. the tank may look odd to some people (FZ lovers), but the design helps in tucking our knee perfectly. also a smaller recess on top of the tank on both sides, helps while taking u-turn (many reivews have missed this.) this shows the minute details taken care by suzuki design team. upright sitting position with slight rare set footpegs. just perfect!
4. new bike in town...a head turner.
5. handling at its best. feels similar to fz but better than that i feel.
5. exhaust sound. it roars!
cons/lacks:
1. no space except for first aid kit and tools under the seat. not even to place papers (not sure if its the same case with all the bikes of this segment)
2. headlight could have been 55w
3. clutch is bit hard. i guess after some breakin, it will become softer
once after first service, will take it for long drive. then i will be able to judge its capabilities fully.
