If it wants to beet the 150cc leaders pulsar, apache and UNI it should return somewhere near to 50kmpl
Because people will think mileage also as concern - in mind of the rising fuel prices
If you wanna say the drawbacks of FZ before its release
Only two options you have
1 - Price
2 - Mileage
Well the cons are known

Well the cons are knownlets chop out price from the list .. can even give 1 lakh for a bike but ..Originally posted by bf1983 View Post40 kmpl will be a bit less for just a 150cc bike. I suppose at it should be around 45 kmpl. (I hope !)
what i need is performance and decent millege ..
but with 140 rear tyre its hard to manage such a millege ....
thats why i went for apache RTR //FACEBOOK

FZ-16 is now the best city bike ever India had. The performance and hadling is above any 150cc bike. The bike begs you to cut through the traffic. Making zig-zags in the traffic is very easy with all the power in the lower and mid range. It is fun to ride this bike in traffic. In fact, you would start liking the traffic very much.
You can have lots of fun riding in the twisties too. 0-60 comes in just 5.5 sec and 0-80 in just 11.1 sec. The bike pulls like crazy in the lower and mid range.
A mileage of over 40 in city is very good given its performance in the lower end. One can easily get above 45 with some sane riding.
Those who are going to get this bike will sure enjoy the city traffic more than any other biker in India.
A top whack of 112 (true speed) is achieved.

Awesome Comment WAY 2 go....
Your review was quite humourous and I do agree with context to the fear of maintaining such a bike . This bike is out of comparison I see people figiting with my new unicorn every now and then. I can imagine what it would b to own a
bike like R15 or FZ16 coz they r not tht common.

I guess, it is bcoz it crossed the 150cc mark, so it falls under 150cc-160cc slot, rounding it off to 160cc, to give a feel it is better than other 150ccs, also to differentiate in name against R15.. as the commuters would confuse even in name, as they are used to Splendor, Passion, Glamour, Pulsar, etc..
I expect to hear, - doosra/ naya wala R-15 ka kitna price/ mileage hai?
Regarding it's bulky tank, I recall my Uncle saying, he still prefers HH CD100SS, coz it has a tank to the seat level, and hence atleast 3 people can sit on it easily... lol.
BTW, awesome pictorials.... a lot different than earlier Impressions...
If we look around for the bikes of stunting bike enthusiasts... we'll find no or round head-lamps/ no fairings, fatter rear tyres, no chain-covers, so this is the perfect bike for bike-rapers! Already doesn't has those things, what earlier removed to be done after purchase... Just saree-guard work needs to be done though.
Thanks Yammy for bringing out a practically viable bike for daily use and for another strata of biking enthusiasts.
Yammy is just playing safe, by not attracting fierce competition by staying into 150ccs/ pre-17bhps, so that other makers don't get mad and bring out more competition, so it's Nawabi style - Pehle aap...
The thing that makes me scare, are the people who find these bikes out-of-the-planet and gaze from up/ from down, sit on it for a photo-session, (what I saw people doing on a parked R-15). What people do to my poor Uni in parking lots at times (pressing all buttons, pulling choke, fiddling with throttle stop screw-RPM thingy), makes me shiver to just imagine, if I owned a super-bike and parked it somewhere, they're like superstars (R-15 = SRK, R-1 = Bradd Pitt), so I would require to call for RAF, to get rid of the mob.
It feels great to have gazing eyes when you are on it, but when you aren't around, it makes you scare... just like having an extremely beautiful wife.
I think, I'd save the bucks for a 250cc/ atleast 30bhps.. Indian hopes, you see.
