Saw the bike in the Pune showroom, the orange one is there on display, 72k onroad and 1st delivery starting from 15th Oct.
The booking amount is 10k, no test drives yet, they saying mostly from the 8th of Oct.

However they did have the keys to the bike and i did start it.

The engine is very very smooth and refined. Exhaust note is a bit muted.

I am almost 6'3" tall, the bike ok for my size, not to small.

Overdrive, Autcar, Bike India, BS Motoring... every mag has covered the FZ16 in their Oct 2008 issues.. But all of these articles are like First Ride / Initial Impression reports.. and Not like a Full Blown Road Test Review.

As sunny bhai said...Yamaha FZ16 is the most proportionate looking motorcycle. I would hv gone for FZ16, if this was launched before R15.

Lolz.... thats straight from the mouth of a R15 owner...... dude... the R15 is a better machine..... looks wise its a complete personal choise.... btw.. I too like the FZ over R15... specially the tail end of the bike...

I would have never gone for FZ 16 as my primary bike but if had more Vitamin M i would have gone for it though.. RTR is far better than this if performance is considered. But for looks every bike should take a bow

I'm very much happy with my R15's performance......but in looks wise R15 doesnt look proportionate....where are FZ16 does look proportionate.

Any where in my post I dint mention that FZ16 is a better performer than R15. I was talkin about the looks not the performance.....Performance wise R15 is the best.

I guess its just the rear end that doesn't look propertionate.... it shud have been a bit sharp as the front..... from the front the R15 looks killer.....
The FZ looks meatier from both the ends.... or rather saying.... its very muscular... and very proportionate.....

yep...the rear end has spoiled the looks of R15....they would had given a better tail light and 110 or 120 section tyre.

Nothing personal.... I too never said that you said anything like that.... I just went on this line of yours: "I would hv gone for FZ16, if this was launched before R15." and hence commented.
If I was in to buy a bike in this category.... I would have definately chosen R15... for the sheer craze... for the power... for the handling... the looks..... and everything.... its fab man...
