This handle provides greater stability when riding in city, also the maneuvering of the bike gets easy handled.. That Means,,the controlled change in movement or direction of a moving vehicle is made easy on the road when you have a small hand held handle or steering.... now what happens is that the weight on the handle bars is increased..as a result of which the person has to just give a normal push to the vehicle's hanlde and the it automatically turns and gives a better stability to stay on the road..and in lieu to this handle the tyres of the bikes are also changed to give this handle the boost of performance on the road and the result is depicted when you try steer hard in the crowded places or want to lean when ever u get a turn..
like one of our mods from shillong does it..
When i saw him,he was actually flying parellel to the tarmac between the two cars just beside him..i still remember it..

    Edit: Pic.. Enclosed With:
He he he I never said that the straights dont offer stability! But yes when it comes to manueuverability, the clip ons are much better to make the bike leane. Oh and the bar weights is a common factor in both of these handle bar designs!

What I meant was that the clip ons offer better maneuverability in terms of a racy setup, i.e. where you want to go down leaning! Whereas the straight ones are very aggressive and they are typically used in city bikes, where you want point and shoot

              • The Yamaha dealer called me up today and I did some basic queries about the bike. I said that the bike has quite fat rear tyres, wont that affect the mileage? According to the dealer, "Yamaha always gives what it promises, if not, it betters expectations. But never below that. FZ is expected to give a mileage of about 50 kmpl. And it would mostly be about 48-50 kmpl or more than that." I was like . Its not quite believable having read many reviews about it. Anyways, I was invited to check out the bike in flesh from the showroom. It would be available for test ride from 15th October. Lets see if it lives up to the expectations....

Usually the dealer d00ds themselves, dunno much 'bout the bike... they just bloat about it... In a fair/ Expo at my place, the Yamaha dealer d00ds, said it's chachis (not chassis, not frame) is deltabox.. and claimed it is more powerful than ZMA..

On a nicer note, congratulations! A very pretty bike I must say. Take good care of her!

                      • I read in the review that the pillion seat is too narrow, i would like to know whether a lady can still sit comfortably pillion on this bike or is it a problem. Most of the times we drive single but still the bikes must have comfortable pillion seats for a wife/sister/mother. For the guys who have seen this bike in the showroom, can you please comment

Also please add if the pillion seat is too high for ladies in a sari? from the pictures it seems its higher than most of the bikes on road.

                                Totally uncalled for...

Brash words like these lead to "X bike v/s Y bike" nonsense. We all understand you are excited but avoid killing time in this fashion....
