  • Just like another member who is 6'3" in height has posted on this thread, I too hope that the FZ16 is comfortable for riders above 6' in height... I'm 6'1".
I don't race, I don't perform stunts, I don't cut across lanes and/ or cut other vehicles, I love to wear my helmet and follow traffic rules/ laws and I prefer safety over surprise... If that is boring and/ or sissy as per you, so be it.

Wishing you the best for getting your red FZ16 ASAP. Could you kindly also shed some light on how the FZ16 is for tall riders (6'1") after you get your motorcycle and ride it for a while? Thanks in advance.

          • Peak Torque

Can anybody confirm the peak torque?? The official brochure says its 13.6 NM and not 14 NM at 6000 RMP.

              Good observation...

              The web site says:
              Maximum output: 14PS / 7500 rpm
              Maximum torque: 14 N.m / 6000 rpm

              The brochure says:
              Maximum output: 14PS / 7500 rpm
              Maximum torque: 13.6 N.m / 6000 rpm

              I think it is 13.6 N.m / 6000 rpm

              • if you go through the brochure in detail then you'll find that at one place it also says that the peak torque is 14 NM but in specifications it says that its 13.6 NM

I guess we'll have to take this with a pinch of salt, I remember Joel's posts in the earlier forum that no Indian bike manufacturers give out the real numbers, Yamaha is no different... remember their R6 fiasco w.r.t 18Krpm!!

                  • Can anyone confirm the mileage? I paid the Utkal Motors at Berhampur a visit, and the guy at the reception claimed its mileage to be abt 45-50 kmpl. He also showed me an SMS sent from the company people. How true is this?

                      • sorry for an off topic...................................but did any one heard about that Suzuki 150cc anymore.I did not find its post anywhere in the new xbhp.
As for the FZ16 what was the upcoming upgrade.165cc fi engine???????????????? I dont think Yam is gonna Fi the 153cc as it would change the character of the engine(14ps/14nm).To me buying the upgraded version is better than the current as it would have huge power and torque both.
