Re: The streets are filled with idiots
Also is it legal to buy a breath analyzer? Imagine checking the cops back with a video camera pointed... i'm sure we'll run up some good out of limit numbers on the cops too...Originally posted by bbsrailfan View Post

Apparently they are legal and quite easy to source. And quite cheap too. Though I'd have a reason to suspect their accuracyOriginally posted by Vykier View PostAlso is it legal to buy a breath analyzer? Re: The streets are filled with idiots
Sometimes, you just need to cull some animals to keep the herd healthyOriginally posted by shashank ashwin View PostThe road being filled with idiots is an understatement.
The typical Indian road is actually an open Zoo.
I met with an accident last july. There was an idiot trying to do stunts in his yamaha RX bike. When I crossed the road, he could not handle the bike and hit my ZMR's tail from the side.
My bike was damaged,I was hurt, and my friend has scratches over her arms.
This incident ended up being one of the worst of my life. It appears he was a local thug of that are, he started foul-mouthing and said - His bike is pure gold(in terms of the way he has maintained it), and since my "useless plastic bike" is the reason for the accident, I should pay him back.
I called up the cops and guess what !! !
The cops tells me in kannada - "Boss, if you have a superbike,it does not mean you own the road". He ended up teaching me the values of humble backgrounds and poverty !! !
It appears the cop too was involved in this somehow as he earlier had a conversation with that guy in private.
At the end of this all, with utter frustration (and words I am banned from using in xbhp forum), I ended up paying 2000/- to that guy.Funny part I had to shell out 4500/- extra fro my bike during repair. This happened around Channsandra village area near M.V.J college. Guys from Bangalore will recognize this area I guess.
Just an hour ago, I was hit by a car while jogging in a playground, some stupid dumbbutt came to learn how to drive on a brand new Alto Lxi and hit me from behind while I was circling the field, I was not hurt badly so I did not complain t first but that guy came out and started screaming obscenities at me. I was with friends and the playground was close to our village, still I was okay with him screaming but he put his hands on my throat threatening to strangle me. That's when the killer inside me woke up, then some things happened and the case was eventually settled. Some people here (@petrolhead_chn IIRC) told me here that carrying a bicycle chain for self-defense was my insecurity, but now as it turns out it was my (only) wise decision.
I could have called the cops who were like 3 kilometers away and none would be available as they are manning the checkposts due to upcoming Republic day, and wait for them to arrive while the guy beats me to pulp or defend myself which is totally legal and justified under that scenario (Article 19 and 21). I made the choice and I'm glad for it.
Oh! did I forget to mention that I'm a s**t magnet?I am back!

Re: The streets are filled with idiots
I am sharing my experience with those road mron... But I was not riding my Avy that time... I was driving my Mcqueen(Red Alto)..Me and my family went to Pune for family function.. In Pimpri-Chincwad I was waiting at signal to turn the lights green from red. Timer shows the countdown to 10, I turn the ignition on but people around me started moving.. I was amazed cuz lights wer still red, suddenly A black pulsar 150, which is trying to cut through traffic hit my rear bumper with its crash guard, before I could react he come by my side abused me for not moving and fleed, then light turn green, there is nothing I could do about it. I only has a scrach on my bumper and newly installed skirting..
I dont know people in Pune start moving as soon as timer shows 10, thats why I was waiting for green signal, seems like I was punished for following rules.

A friggin scorpio rammed me from the back when I stopped when the lights turned red at the kasarwadi signal on the highway.Originally posted by Aniruddha Shinde View PostI am sharing my experience with those road mron... Hopefully this guy and his driver were decent and asked if I was hurt and apologised too
. The impact bent the tail of my cbz. No injuries thankfully.
Daily I see people start rushing even when there are 10 - 15 secs left for the light to turn green and also speed up when they turn red. :banghead:. It's best to wait at the side if there is no turn there or keep your palm raised to at least let them know they should stop

Re: The streets are filled with idiots
sadly, this is actually true, it happens in pune. but no matter how much others behind me are honking, i will move only when the signal turns green. not one second before it.Originally posted by Aniruddha Shinde View PostI am sharing my experience with those road mron... Re: The streets are filled with idiots
Yup. I follow the same... and that bad practice is followed in New Mumbai also.. I was going to Vashi with my frnd in pillion.. Signal shows 15 and other start moving.. I was far left side, I said what ever happens I will move at green but My frnd was in hurry she shouted me for not moving.. But throttle and cluch is in my hand....Originally posted by princesirohi View Postsadly, this is actually true, it happens in pune. but no matter how much others behind me are honking, i will move only when the signal turns green. not one second before it.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
And after that event whenever I came to Pune.. I stay well behind in traffic at signal, then there are less people behind me to honk..Originally posted by Xzibit Roll View PostA friggin scorpio rammed me from the back when I stopped when the lights turned red at the kasarwadi signal on the highway.

Re: The streets are filled with idiots
I don't but that does not mean I would play cat and mouse game with them in busy traffic risking my life and that of others. I do not resort to violence easily but if they cross the line, they must pay the price.Originally posted by kabir848 View Postand I thought you didn't like those govt. licensed goons. , Milton .I am back!

Re: The streets are filled with idiots
Today, while I was returning after Bangalore G2G. On One turn, there was one stupid standing and smoking on the middle of the road and another stupid standing on left side coming forward and asking for a lift.
Since it was a narrow road somehow managed not to hit both stupid.
I don't understand why these stupid people behave like this.
