bought samsung star 3g ....its a awesome phone guys !!

I have always been a NOKIA hater.. So I wanted to go for options beyond Nokia... Walkman Series of SE was a good option for music freaks but I wanted a fone thru which I could be always connect...ONLINE...
Touch was also my interest...So I zeroed on 2 fones... LG Cookie and Samsung Star

I would advice to go for samsung Star.. not Star 3g..hardly much of a diff except for camera flash and 3G features.. and the price for star is Rs 9500 whereas for Star 3G its around 12.5 - 13K.

But it also has few loopholes....

I didnot like the music player interface.You cannot play a particular folder...either u select all the songs or make a playlist

Restricted to only Jar/Jad files usage and not all java apps run.You have to tweak the system a bit.

Camera misses the flash feature... different modes are present but not all modes are okay.. Auto focus absent...

Not much locking the folders option is present.

Also it misses the motion sensor for camera..move it too fast and images are blurred...



But I think it is worth a try... I am satisfied. No better fone under 10K than Samsung Star. My motive of stay online was fulfilled.. and with a 4GB card..I can hear a lot of music... record a lot of Videos and capture a lot of images.

Hi Everyone, I am currently using SE P1i for last two years. I wish to buy a decent Windows Professional 6.0 mobile. I require decent battery life, camera and GPS in the phone. My budget is Rs. 12000-13000. Kindly suggest a mobile for my requirement.

You are letting go of a wonderful piece buddy-it has the convenience of a Symbian OS with all the professional features including Blackberry connect. Cam&music also not bad at all. I would suggest you to reconsider-i did the same a few months back&changed the entire body of my P1i-using it happily now!

Thanks Sarvajit for your suggestion. Actually I need mobile with gps function. Sadly my P1i doesn't have it. Other than that I feel it is a wonderful mobile and has almost all the feature which one would require.

Yes buddy, I remember when I was buying it there was a GPS option, but I didn't take it unfortunately. Why don't you find out whether it can still be activated? Maybe it would be worth the effort!

checked it out , seems good with 3 mp and 30 fps video recording . any clue to its price ??

Hey guys, need some real quick help here!!

I got a used Nokia 6210 Navigator from eBay for a bargain a few months back. It was working great untill last week, when I couldn't switch it on! I thought maybe it's the battery and set it for a full charge. Yet, when I tried starting it, it's not starting up.

Any ideas? My room is pretty damp and mouldy, and the handset lies there unused all day most of the days. Can that be a cause? What am I supposed to do now with the cell, Nokia Care?
