Best thing about the Bose ear phones is: It is working superly even after getting wanshed in a washing machine by mistake.
I kept the earphones in pant pocket and my mom washed it in washing machine without noticing that. I came to know after one week and suprisingly they are working great... Just felt like telling the reliability of this product. (Not advertising

I have a pair of Bose Triport around-ear headphones that I really love, but the Bose in-ears are really sub-par. The non-standard silicone buds rarely give proper sealing and the frequency response isn't great either. Bass heads may like it, but for that price, one really can do a lot better. The Creative Aurvana in-ears for instance, deliver a much more complete and wider sound stage. For way lower.
There are 3 Bose in-ear users in my office and they all echo the same sentiments. If you're gonna drop big bucks on in-ears, go for Shure, Altec Lansing, Sennheiser, Koss, Audio Technica, Ultimate-Ears (MAJOR big bucks) or hell, even Sony. They'd all perform better.

Actually, IMO I find Bose ear phones pretty good and happy with their performance. And when I bought them I dint know much about the ear phones and other brands.Originally posted by Synn View PostI have a pair of Bose Triport around-ear headphones that I really love, but the Bose in-ears are really sub-par. They are pretty good, no doubt. I'm talking in relation to the competition available in that price range. When you get up there, even the tiniest of margins get amplified.
As for the Bose's, if you got them a little while ago; I'd recommend that you buy their redesigned silicone earbuds. Still not as perfect a seal as one'd like, but Bose redesigned them following widespread criticism and now they are way better than the gen 1 buds.

How is the battery life for 5800 XPressMusic? On the Nokia site it says to be much much better than N86.
Talktime:
N86 - 378 mins
5800 - 520 mins
Standby :
N86 : 315 hours
5800 : 406.2 hours
If I dont care so much for the camera, is there any other reason to go for the N86?
