It is an import.. and yes.. it doesn't work with GSM. This is made for Sprint USA (CDMA) by Samsung and is basically a Galaxy S PRO. The problem with import models is that you wont get warranty. The good thing is.. it will be cheaper than even the regular Galaxy S.. or even similar pricing. If you want... I can provide
Edit: There is no EDGE and GPRS here as these are GSM technology based. Anyways, FYI, a friend of mine is currently using it with Reliance + Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ on his Epic 4G (Which is EVDO@ 3.1 Mbps, same as Tata Photon [Take THAT 3G Launch Delays!] ).
