Hi buddy... Since my Samsung innov8 was returned to company, I do internet only on cyber cafes's...Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostI have changed my mind&decided to go for the yet to be released E7 from Nokia.
Please provide your inputs.
@Samarth 619: Where are you buddy?
I'm also purchasing Nokia N8 after seeing its reviews and that high audio quality... Its coming in 5-7 days, and I hope they get me the blue color...
Nokia E7 seems fine but its 8 mp camera has no autofocus. Means you can forget taking text photos...
Also, will only 16 GB memory be fine for you? E7 has no card slot... I'll be using my N8 with a 8 GB Card I had spare...
---
@ satan69: Maybe you should try the VGA (640x480) mode with 30 fps... But still, since it records audio at 128 kbps high quality stereo, it will always take up more space than any other older mobile...Last edited by Samarth 619; 10-17-2010, 07:23 PM.---

Nokia N8 or Nokia C7
Seems like I can get some help from you guys. I am looking for a phone upgrade and checked Nokia N8 , C7 and E7. Don't the grey market price of C7 but found that I can save around 5-6 K when compared to Nokia N8 . Difference b/w N8 and C7-
1) 12 MP camera compared to 8 MP Camera,
2) No HDMI output in C7,
3)No Xenon flash in C7(Dual LED flash instead),
4)No multiple screens.
Other than that I found C7 to be same as N8. Shall I consider C7 as the above differences are not my priorities.

Look at this guys!!
YouTube - Nokia N8 vs Samsung S8500 Wave video comparison
It is not the screen comparison, but video quality comparison. 5mp vs 12mp
.
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

Nokia pic qualities have never really been that great when compared to its competition...But this is bad...is this a HD video(that N8 claims to be capable of)??
I was waiting for Nokia C6 since last 5 months but finally when its out it turned out to be a blopper...hangs out of nowhere time and again...so my hunt starts again for a fone. Any suggestions guys??
Requirements :
Full Touch+qwerty*
Wi-Fi*
A-GPS*
Secondary camera*(dont care much about the main camera as I have a proper cam doing the duties)
Document reader*
Minimum 3.2" screen(but not more than 4")
Operating system : Windows 6.5 or more or Android 2.1/2.2(hope its upgradable later) or Symbian ^3
*Mandatory
Budget : Anything upto 25k
Had to write off the Motorola Milestone due to lack of secondary cam.
E7 looks promising but skeptical about the price...
N8 has everything except the qwerty keyboard.
Thanks in advance!!!...Back to HIBERNATE mode...

just my view
Samsung makes de best mobiles when it comes to camera and screen.
see a 12mpxl camera is been outperformed by a 5mpxl mobile camera.coz of de frame rate N8 -25fps and Wave-30fps.thatz why Samsung is de best... Samsung is gonna come up wth a new 12mpxl and kickass Nokia again,,,
i tried using N8 yesterday its rather fast as compared to N97 and N900 in UI,,, Nokia have done their homework,,,but it can never compete IOS and android in UI,,
i shud admit de camera of N8 is damn good,,,when compared to Samsung 12mpxl pixon..its a great replacement
for a midrange digicam... Nokia shud try opting to android to stay alive..thy have got de source..i feel Symbian is still outdated...one only thing which i felt in N8 from other Symbian phones is,,no more double tap to open any function...
these r just my views...sigpicIf you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be

I expected the nokia camera to perform on par with its competitors. I thought that the vario tessar lens would perform higher than expected. But alas it has lost the competition to a much cheaper phone.Originally posted by happybiking View PostNokia pic qualities have never really been that great when compared to its competition...But this is bad...is this a HD video(that N8 claims to be capable of)??

If the first 4 things are you main requirement then you can go for samsung corby pro. Its a damn good phone & has all the features you said to be mandatory. Although i dont know about the document reader. Moreover it can be in your pocket for just 10k.NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

happybiking@dude y don't u consider Samsung wave,,,its de best VFM u can get on market...has got de best 3.3inch super Amoled display,N8 and E7 has got 680mhz processor over 1GHZ processor of wave,,30fps HD video cam.great 5mpxl cam,,,de sound quality is ultimate...its sleek and sexy,,,BADA OS is really a treat to use,,its resembles IOS[iphone] in many ways..its really fast..
if camera, hdmi port and direct USB functionality is ur main consideration then N8 shud be ur pick....sigpicIf you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be

@Madhav & Vinoob : Thanks for the suggestions but I already checked these options long back...
Reasons to shy away :
WAVE : physical qwerty is mandatory for my kind of typing. Moreover I would prefer Android or symbion over BADA as samsung itself is shifting to Android these days(Galaxy for example).
Corby Pro : 2.8" screen is kinda small and again the operating system.

dont get angry dude...i didn't mean to offend BADA...Do you own one by any chance??
All I was saying was BADA is not really into the game yet like Android, windows or the fading out symbian(symbian^3 has gr8 reviews BTW). Am sure BADA must be good.
About Wave/Galaxy : None sport a physical qwerty so both don't suffice my needs...I wish only if the Galaxy had a slideout qwerty

Regarding physical qwerty. If you have used capacitive screen that are as responsive as iphones or samsung wave/galaxy etc. Then a physical qwerty it must for you.Originally posted by happybiking View Post....

If not, then try them. I had the same notion. My phone has with resistive screen and was anyway not very responsive. Was on the look out for a new phone for my wife with physical key pads until I tried samsung wave and I was strucked by how responsive and easy it was to use unlike my current phone. Got the wave.
But then, I understand. For some, a physical key pads are a must.

i was making my point,,,i have used most of de top end phones in market,,,had wave for 3 months,,,i found it a good deal after selling my iPhone..and y u need a physical qwerty when u have a capacitive screen on board...using qwerty is like a breeze...when compared to a physical one,,i don't think there is a good physical qwerty touch mobile...n900 is a good one,,,but has got a resistive screen..which is really de best resistive screen i have come across..maemo OS is eye catch,,its far better than symbian in all ways...had it for a month,,,sold it coz of its bulky size...
there r few models in HTC also,,,i don't remember de models ,,am not tht towards HTC..do chk in mob store....sigpicIf you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be

Wish, I had the luxury of changing fones every 2-3 months...would have liked to try out three to four high end fones atleast(Motorola Milestone, N900, Xperia X10,N8,Galaxy to name a few)
Desire is one of them...Supposedly the best Android fone in India.Originally posted by vinoob View Postthere r few models in HTC also,,,i don't remember de models ,,am not tht towards HTC..do chk in mob store.......Back to HIBERNATE mode...
