Thats good. My friends note2 got stolen so didnt get good chance to use it although its a nice cell. But does it feel perfectly pocketable esp in Jeans? Am not sure but the guy whose note2 got stolen says that iPhone5 is getting retailed in some mall in Bangalore @38k now. Not sure about that. iPhone has many shortcomngs which I dont like, no bluetooth, no FM, more paid apps (although apps quality is quite good) but build quality is very good and now they have introduced new earphones in iPhone5 and iPod 5th Gens which are great to listen. I have a 4th gen iPod and its sound quality was not that good as famous they were and it got damaged on its own. New ones are great! I personally don't like 'in-ear' earphones which come with Sony/Samsung. I would prefer a Skull-Candy or even Schenheizer Headphone otherwise.Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostWhats there in a signature?

@Enthusiastic: I would say that Note 2's size is just about right for a big phone. It depends, if you wear regular fit jeans more often then it fits fine without issues but obviously in a tighter jeans you'll have problems. And it has has absolutely no problems in a trouser. Overall, I would say it is not much of an issue.
I had a iPhone 3gs before it and I loved it. I am not loyal to any mobile manufacturer though I have preferences. Like you say, I love the fit and finish of iPhones, even my 3gs is so well built. Hopefully, Apple will make some necessary changes in their iOS and most likely my next phone will again be an iPhone :-)The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

@Satllite.Kid thanks for the info. I like iPhone5 but somewhere I feel more fascinated by the S3 and Note2. Only I have apprehensions about the size of Note2 otherwise I like that phone very much. I like the usefulness of stylus. How is the fitting. Does it become loose or is tight fit. Sometime back I had Nokia 5800 with Stylus and it was damn loose.Whats there in a signature?

As I said, the size is not really an issue unless you like to wear tight jeans, in which case even the smaller s3 will feel bigger. The size is quite perfect and the screen is pretty amazing as well. Watching a video and pics feel very nice on Note 2. The stylus fits very well and is tight. When you take it out and insert, you'll feel like it has a clip mechanism. It won't get lose. You can go for it if you like it. At its price, Note 2 is hard to beat. The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

if you want good audio.. forget bout phones.. get a sansa clip and a decent set of IEM's iphones are far behind..Originally posted by Enthusiastic View PostThats good. some ROMs (not all) have better equalizers built into them during compilation , this is how the sound quality becomes better , but most of these are available as patches also
if your android phone is rooted and has a custom ROM then most of these tweaks can be applied via recovery or clockwork mod ..

This isn't absolutely true. Sound quality depends on speakers/headphones/earphones as much as it depends on amplification. That is why, if you are hardcore music listener, you will be able to feel the difference in sound even with same headphones when attached to different music sources. For example, listen to a FLAC quality song with your headphone on your PC and listen to the same song on your mobile phone (if it supports FLAC) with the same headphone, you should be able to notice the difference in audio quality. It will not be much, but it will be there.Originally posted by Enthusiastic View PostHow can ROM effect the audio? The audio quality is mainly dependent on the earphone/headphone rather than the player anyways.Last edited by Satellite.kid; 01-12-2013, 01:32 AM.The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

It's about the libs present in the ROM. Never had any issues with stock based ROMs, however I'm using CM now, and there is difference. Anyways, removed DSP Manager and it's libs and using another one.

as much as the hardware affects the music the software does too..Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostThis isn't absolutely true. the onboard dac might be good along with flac as well as good IEM's there is still a possibilty of better audio with tweaks in software.
i suggested custom roms with android for the same reason and yes it can be done in patches too.. moreover if its about audio...
no phone does for me what my sansa clip+ and the hifiman RE-0 does.. running on flac's.."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Look out for Nexus 4 from LGOriginally posted by Kunwar.g View PostPlanning to get Xperia SL. It's available for approx 21K with bill & warranty. Size is good as don't want and not comfortable with larger phones as want to be able to use with 1 hand.
Any other alternative ?
