AFAIK India has zero import duty on mobile phones. That's the reason we no longer have gray market import phones nowadays which were extremely popular about a decade back.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostMaybe added tax or import duties.
Check the latest prices at mobile stores please :?Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Think its cause its not officially launched in India. These are sold my importers and offer only dealer warranty. Nevertheless never had any confidence over the quality of LG in any of its products. Be it mobile or anything else.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostMaybe added tax or import duties.

I was planning to buy that too... Read a few reviews about Grand and most of them said its overly priced for the features it give... had a chance to look at it last weekend in reliance digitall.. 640*780 resolution for a 5 Inch screen is ridiculous... The clarity is just average and its not AMOLED like in SIII... I felt even the touch sensivity wasnt soo great... Almost all reviews said Micromax Canvas HD A116 has better features...Originally posted by princysharma1990 View PostCurrently I am using Apple iPhone 3GS but now I am planning to switch to Samsung. I think Samsung's newly released Galaxy Grand is pretty nice phone. So, I am planning to buy this phone. Anyone having this phone? So, please share your reviews about this phone.
So still confused...

Hey,I am currently using the grand. And I think its the best choice for an android phone @ 20k . Inspit the negetive reviews about the display I find it really beautiful. 480*800 on 5inch sounds aweful but in reaity it looks real good, u ve got to use the handset once to understand it.
Pros-The camera ,Ul, screen size, looks
Cons-no USB OTG functionality, no gorilla glass protection. (No NFC , i cant remember the last time i used it on my xperia sola, i always turn it off. so it wont be missed )everybody dies, but not everyone LIVES...

Could not resist. Well for starts I love her. She is the white beauty. It is a higher upgrade for me from Nokia 5233. Still have her. Anyway I like the grand.

Guys, can anyone believe who the new king of audio quality among the mobiles is? Yes, the Samsung Galaxy S4. I just checked the updated review on GSMArena.com.
Where Apple's Dynamic Range & (-) Noise levels were around 90-91 in all the iPhones, iPods and iPads, it is around 96 in Galaxy S4!! And distortion levels are so low... Plus, where other mobiles suffer in terms of stereo crosstalk, this mobile seems hardly affected at all, even in headphones/ earphones.
Just one mobile phone defeating the entire range of Apple, that too in ... Audio Quality. Amazing..
Samsung do supply Audio Chips & boards to Apple. So, no doubt they have potential. Man, I love this Samsung. Working so hard to give us the damn best and nothing below it!!
Although, I'm still having fun with 41 megapixels.

Re: Mobile Phones
I am writing this post using Dolphin on BlueStacks on a Win 8 laptop. And feeling a bit ashamed of it.'Cause I never thought the day would dawn when I would need a LINUX emulator on a Windows machine. It should have been the other way round. Sad but revealing - emulating Windows on Ubuntu is a PITA but not the other way round.
Samarth. The S4 is too expensive and small-screened for me (fat-fingered fauji!) and I am more than delighted with the large screen of my Note 1. Rooted but no custom ROM. If anyone here can route me to an app that increases the RAM and CPU speed on the Note 1 other than SetCPU (freeware please
) please PM me. I don't mind having a bandolier of spare batterys. Just need raw speed on the Note. A pointer to an aluminium back
cover would be much appreciated; the device heats up quite a bit under load.
I have been trawling the Net for installing Ubuntu on a Win 8 with dual boot but no joy. Please PM me if any of us has a suggestion.
Thanks.
Joe
