  • My SGS I hangs frequently once in a day. It happens particularly with call logs, gallery, and facebook. Any solution??

Got OtterBox case from U.S. Also got ZAGG InvisibleShield full body protector. Yet to install the screen protector. Seems its a tedious process. I am slightly hesitating now to install the ZAGG after i read some reviews on the net that the screen is rubbery in nature and it hampers swype function.

      Yes, you are right.
The phone does not hang and its only the App...and mostly they are HD games. Rather than bug..im expecting it to be paging problem.

Well, very much. I have written couple of short reviews earlier. That might help you.

There has been lots of changes in my view after initial experience with the phone.

      1. I felt the body buil was OK..but now, I am pretty satisfied with it. I am using Case-mate with it (have both clear and black) which is find most usefull.

Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S2 Barely There slim case by Case-Mate

      2. Replaced with packed earphones with Senhiesser ones.
      3. Missing dedicated camera button, but placed a shortcut on home screen for quick access.
      4. There were heating problems, got mine replaced and it hardly gets hot even after 10-15mins of a HD game.

Display will beat any other phones to death.

Hardware is again..Excellent. The reviewes of this phone are highly postive and same with me too.

      My recommended apps:
      1. Office Talk (Office communicator)
      2. MixZing (Media player with very good equaliser)
      3. GO Launcher (Better user interface)
      4. Napster
      5. Teamviewer

Can tell me how to locate dead-pixels (if any) on SGS2, I've downloaded HD games (Hero of Sparta) & its a trail-version... And below are some apps currently in use (advice me if any better than what I'd installed) :-

        1) Mobo Player (still unable to play FLV. and some other formats)
        2) Barcode scanner (not useful much of the time)
        3) Speed Test
        4) TOI (times of india)
        5) Engadget
        6) Battery Solo Widget
        7) Call meter 3G (to keep a track of internet how much utilised)
        8) Antivirus (AVG Mobilation)
        9) FB App
        10) Angry Birds

I've gone through this test, no dead/missing pixel is found on the screen and other tests regarding speaker, front/back cam, etc... seems to be all fine.

If this was all about dead-pixel then my handset seems to be alright, further to this... if u find something better to be done with SGS2, do keep posting...

                    • Apple trying to clear left-over stock since iPhone4 is now launched officially... If same was priced for 3GS when they launched it earlier, then Samsung & SE smartphone would had got a neck-to-neck competition. Try your luck APPLE, clear this load before iPhone5 is launched in US and then same case will be for iPhone4.

PS : APPLE is like Indian Hindi Police, always arrives late when someone is either dead or someone is balatkaar'ed

I originaly upgraded from Stock 2.1 and it was a HUGE difference. Stock 2.1 was like a nightmare, phone used to freeze every now and then and will struggle with a live wallpaper.

One of my friend bought GALAXY from UK(unlocked one), handset is year-old now but its hanging alot & behaving as if there is no processor inside. Cant take it to Samsung service as he dont have warranty left, how can we get it back to normal working...

                              • @GP_freak, antz.bin&others: After seeing my friend's SGS2, I felt that I will never be satisfied with the Wave 2, so have decided to increase my budget to 20K&am now considering the Nexus S.
I'm aware that it does not support 720p HD video recording.
However, a front cam is necessary for me&Android seems to be the only platform other than iOS that will help me to send&receive work mails in Japanese.
So please provide me your inputs on this, I will be going for it as soon as I get the next salary.
