Well, I've used it extensively, and thats why I'm saying...and ofcourse i didnt mean "easy enough to break it" when I was referring to the plasticky feel, but was just commenting on the feel of the phone, as compared to HTCs and iPhones out there...Originally posted by GP_freak View PostThe plastic toy feels pretty solid and doesnt creak when held tightly even in the hands of a person who used to bench press 100 Kgs
.
Instead of relying on the online reviews from sites, i would advise you to walk over to some store where they have live display and try your might on it.
Ps: Of course, i can break the SGS2, same with many phones out there in the market. When i am in such mood, i look out for dumbbells and not for my SGS2

H+ stands for HSDPA and HSUPA which are advanced versions of 3G also called 3.5G. Even my internet modem (Tata Docomo e-Stick 7.2 mbps) works on HSUPA technology.Originally posted by thunderbird_m6 View PostSometime it shows H+ & sometimes 3G ... Can u clarify on this plan !!!
Whether you see 3G or 3.5G/H+ depends on the signal you're getting, which in turn depends on the towers' location.
I think your plan won't change from the existing one, although you might not get those high speeds practically. Reason is that companies now use advanced networks to connect but may give 3G speeds only.
Like EDGE has a max speed of 216 kbps, but you will rarely get it, even though it always displays "E" when you connect your internet using 2G network mobile.Last edited by Samarth 619; 07-06-2011, 08:18 PM.---

I believe you are using SGS2. Right? By default it comes with auto network mode. Ie.(GSM/WCDMA) If you really want to check what speed you get in 3G and 2G, go to Mobile network settings page, under network mode choose GSM only for 2G and WCDMA for 3G. In auto mode it gives priority to 3G signals first and if that is not available it picks the 2G signal.
So try the speed test app in the 2G only mode and 3G only mode. It’s a child play ;-)

God, you cannot see any signal at all in 3G only mode in that scenario.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Post

BTW,Connection speed is different from download speed. You will never reach 216 Kbps download speed ever. God help me if am wrong.

If you had used it extensively, then you should have come to a conclusion on yourself…
You are misinterpreting weightlessness with plasticness. Try using carbon fiber in place of steel or alloys, it will feel light and fragile and yet it does the job perfectly.
But the truth is, nothing can replace the feel of weights in hand.Last edited by GP_freak; 07-07-2011, 10:47 AM.

3G is very expensive. For vodafone u get 3GB free download at 850 rental per month and 3Gb will finish really fast when ur using 3g. In my free 3g trial i used to download full movies in less than a hour
.
I am happy with my 2g for now. Its slow but its 199 per month for unlimited usage
.
Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Well, plasticky or not, in the end i guess it just boils down to personal preference...Originally posted by GP_freak View Post

I was assuming that 3G is already activated, then your signal depends on the tower locations. 3G is a different network altogether.Originally posted by GP_freak View PostIf you don’t have 3 G activated for your number from your service provider, then you cannot see 3G or H+ signals even if you are present in the reach of the 3G towers. Well, we can reach around 216 kbps download during night time, using download manager. It comes to around 27 KB/ sec and its very much possible, rarely only though. (using Idea Postpaid, not with me anymore)---
