5) Have crashed one app as of now. That too it was the voice talk app with the data connections switched off. Voice talk and navigation needs data connection.
6) You have to see it to believe that a smart phone could start so quickly.
7) Heating happens during charging. Yet to download any games that could heat up the phones as I have read.
8) When you are in an app and when you press the home button, it take a around .5 seconds to react. I think that’s how it is designed.
9) One of the place where the SGS2 stands out is in Playing videos. I was able to test 1280X720 files of 3 GB and have run the slider back and forth like crazy and still it was butter smooth. It excels in playing video like no other phone. It remembers where we have stopped playing all those videos and starts from there when we open it next time. When we open the videos section, all the videos are shown as a small icon with a small green bar in the bottom of it indicating the progress of each movie( I loved it )
10) The social HUB shows all the messaging and texting services. Have configured my Office mail in Microsoft exchange server, G mail, Yahoo messenger, G talk, Face book as of now and especially I am impressed with the e mail options through Exchange server. The mails come in faster than my out look ;-) Work black berry like with option to save excels and other stuffs .(double OK for young corporates. There are a load of encryption options)
11) Individual IM clients are interfering with the Social Hub client.
12) TEXTING IS AWESOME. In portrait mode I was finding it difficult to text in Qwerty mode. The traditional keypad made it awesome. The sensitivity is also good.
13) 2G doesn’t do justice for this phone.
14) I love the build quality Far Far better than the Galaxy I 9003. The I 9003 creaks in my hands, not the SGS2 eve with a thinner profile.
15) The back cover is a very thin plastic, but it does the job what it is designed for. It covers the back and also avoids slip. Good design in my view. Don’t know why so many people hated it.

NOTE:

We can add tag to this phone to this phone as opposed to what I said earlier. Just found out today when I opened the back cover of the phone. Also it’s a breeze to add the tag. It doesn’t need any pins to insert the rope in the space provided.

These are my initial views, but will update it when ever I get time. Any doubts, ask me

Update: checked my friend's sgs2:
1)brilliant display.dint find any yellow spots nor that pink display issue.
2)NO and i mean NO lag anywhere anytime.
3)video recording is awesome.but gets pixellated when zoomed in under lower Hd modes
4)somehow not impressed with the camera quality though (heck you cant get everything right)
5)very thin and i liked the back cover.dont know why people generally dont like it.
6)speaker output is low.

thats so cool man..congrats... its breaking my heart that i have to wait for a good 3 months to lay my hands on one cause it still dint release in teh US and i have 2 months to go to get there...

every minute my hand aches for my card so i can just swipe it and get the damn phone

My case was almost same, ever since I heard about SG2 coming... I made my mind to buy it the moment it launches. But then my friend kept saying why to spend such large amount on any phone though I already has WAVE GT-S8500. When I read last month-end that SG2 will be launched on 3-June, since then I was feeling kind-of uneasy whenever I read SG2 launched & I'm still waiting don't know for what.

Last evening I simply checked couple of shops around and managed to get one for 29k.

Thanx hitanshu, my first choice was that same phone but then wouldn't the qwerty keyboard be pain to use with it small button for an 60 year old person. So was wondering bout a android touchscreen phone

I've personally got a total of 50GB of storage on my phone, 2Gb ROM + 16Gb Internal SD card + 32Gb external SD, filled with music videos and movies. The Galaxy S makes a great multimedia device with its Super AMOLED screen, better then my friend's Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc with its 4.2 inch screen.
And, of course, since you're getting a Galaxy S2, it'll be even more brilliant with the Super AMOLED Plus display and the dual-core power.

You can store around 46.5 GB aproximately i think in the SGS2 with a 32 GB external card. Dont count the ROM in to account. BTW, what card do you have and for how much you got ? Am planning to get a sandisk 32 gb class 4

Transcend Memory Card 32 GB MicroSD 32GB Class 4: Flipkart Memory Cards

check the above link... i have selected COD as i wanted to check the card first hand by system too... many cases of fraud cards going around.they will say its a 32gb but in reality it will be like 2 gb or something and some loop program will allow you to fully copy the whole data but in reality overwrites the initail 2gb data which was 1st transferred to the card.
