Well checked the phone & found the price pretty impressive. But according to its official site the phone is yet to be launched??

But do you think that the money invested in it is worth?? Its predecessor mi 300 had a crappy cam. So would it be a safe bet when one is getting a better brand (samsung) android phone for some odd 19k because 14k is not a small amount to be invested in a brand like spice which has never been able to establish itself in the market properly.

yes,ur right it hasnt been releasd yet,will take a couple more weeks or so. but given the price point it is very hard to just ignor it especially with those killer specs. but like i said, its a huawei x6 rebranded as spice so it will have nothing in common with earlier models(hopefuly). on paper it looks better than SGS, but yes if extra 4-5k is no problem even i will choose SGS over a spice.(afterall its a spice).

SGS2 update

Ok, The bad things now, There is a neglibile yellow tint in the left hand side of the phone. Along with that, the photos are having some pinkish tint in the cenre of the photos

dint you check the piece when you bought it?? my friend has just bought one for 29k here and will check it out tonight.so excited to get my hands on it..damn ,i have to wait till i go to US to get one of my own,otherwise would have bought one right now
..keep updating dude..and if you can,try to post pics of those tints.
1)how do you rate the camera and video recording?
2)how is the music quality through stock earphones? and also with any other brand.
3)battery life on average usage.
4)loud speaker quality for music and calls.
5)any lagging issues while navigating through screens?restarts?heating issues?

1) Camera is very good except for the pinkish tint. Could be fixed with updates I think.Will post some photos taken in the mobile soon. Never tried a video yet.

9) One of the place where the SGS2 stands out is in Playing videos. I was able to test 1280X720 files of 3 GB and have run the slider back and forth like crazy and still it was butter smooth. It excels in playing video like no other phone. It remembers where we have stopped playing all those videos and starts from there when we open it next time. When we open the videos section, all the videos are shown as a small icon with a small green bar in the bottom of it indicating the progress of each movie( I loved it )
10) The social HUB shows all the messaging and texting services. Have configured my Office mail in Microsoft exchange server, G mail, Yahoo messenger, G talk, Face book as of now and especially I am impressed with the e mail options through Exchange server. The mails come in faster than my out look ;-) Work black berry like with option to save excels and other stuffs .(double OK for young corporates. There are a load of encryption options)
11) Individual IM clients are interfering with the Social Hub client.
12) TEXTING IS AWESOME. In portrait mode I was finding it difficult to text in Qwerty mode. The traditional keypad made it awesome. The sensitivity is also good.

14) I love the build quality Far Far better than the Galaxy I 9003. The I 9003 creaks in my hands, not the SGS2 eve with a thinner profile.

@gp freak- that pink spot problem will be gone when u update to i9100XWKE7 firmware, plus it improves battery life too.
that pinkish tint is very common on digicams,we barely notice it untill when u take a picture of white wall or something. even my wave and finepix have this problem.
@madhav krishna: its already available frm.here Spice Mi-410 | Spice Mobile Phones | Saholic.com for 13.9k. and tge site is owned by spice group.

But it is coming to phones, just in a different avatar. An Ice Cream sandwich with ingredients of Honeycomb and Gingerbread. Yummy!!!

15) The back cover is a very thin plastic, but it does the job what it is designed for. It covers the back and also avoids slip. Good design in my view. Don’t know why so many people hated it.

NOTE:

We can add tag to this phone to this phone as opposed to what I said earlier. Just found out today when I opened the back cover of the phone. Also it’s a breeze to add the tag. It doesn’t need any pins to insert the rope in the space provided.

These are my initial views, but will update it when ever I get time. Any doubts, ask me

Update: checked my friend's sgs2:
1)brilliant display.dint find any yellow spots nor that pink display issue.
2)NO and i mean NO lag anywhere anytime.
3)video recording is awesome.but gets pixellated when zoomed in under lower Hd modes
4)somehow not impressed with the camera quality though (heck you cant get everything right)
5)very thin and i liked the back cover.dont know why people generally dont like it.
6)speaker output is low.
