been using the galaxy note1 for over a year now - delighted to have the latest droid release updated on it - just love that device w/ large screen & loads of features!
the butter-smooth UI is indeed a delight.
was owning an iphone5 for last 4 months - had had complete disappointment on that hardware's capabilities.
the wifi signal strength, the battery life, the speed, the ability / flexibility of massive storage, a kickass camera, etc. are simply missing & nowhere even close to even the karbons & micromaxs of the world.
build quality was the only strong factor of the iphone5 i.m.h.o.
then came the htc-one - released about a fortnight ago & i dunked my iphone5 for the htc-one.
am telling u, this htc-one is a hOOt of a phone... not only does it outperform the iphone5 hands down, it surpasses even the entire galaxy series of handsets as well.
i can simply go on & on, on the stellar performance of the htc-one on all fronts.
dont take my words for it - hold one in ur palm & play around w/ it... u will be mesmerized by the staggering & astonishing list of features & design & practicality of that device.
rightfully so, its been called the best smartfone ever, of all time - i couldnt agree more!
long story short... its prolly the best handset i've ever owned till date - 'nuff said!

Does anybody have idea when Nokia will launch radio function in their windows 8 phones (Like Lumia 520, 620, 720), I am planning to buy windows 8 phone of Nokia but radio is necessary for me...Any idea to update the feature after to buy it...?
And do you know any other nice windows 8 phone other than Nokia...?

Check phones from Samsung,HTC .......though I hate windowsOS on phone itself......but radio these days. ???? Dude,i dont think Nokia has a need to put that in Lumia lineup......

It'll come with Amber update which is releasing for the higher end phones (1 GB RAM models) by August. It will slowly come to lower models after that

I bought Nokia Lumia 720 few days back and let me tell you guys its amoled screen with compete gorilla glass is super duper amazing, touch is super sensitive and all black look is killer even when screen light is off......

And finger crossed for radio....

Thats a nice short and sweet review Dada. A week back I was looking for a replacement for my Galaxy S I9003 as the screen had conked off, and the aftermarket screen for 2,500 was looking like it would go dark soon. As usual, I set the budget for 20,000. Checked most of the sites GsmArena, Fone Arena and short listed a couple of phones. i.e Sony Xperia SL and LG Optimus L9. I didn't want to go for Micromax or Karbonn or any such phones.

I knew those phones pack a punch for the price at which they retail, however I have my personal inhibitions about these Manufacturers and cant convince myslef to invest on them.

Long story short, Xperia SL was not in stock at couple of Phone shops near my place, and nobody seemed to stock LG phones.

I got a demo of LG Optimus L9 at reliance store, and was happy or content with what was available for 16,500. Took a day or 2 to think about it, and struck a deal with a phone shop near my place who happened to stock the phone and I got it for 16000.

It has got 1 Ghz Dual Core processor, 1 GB RAM, Android ICS which I upgraded to Jellybean.

I am happy with the overall performance of the phone considering the price at which I got it. Best part about the phone is Battery life, with 24 hours Internet, moderate browsing, and 2-3 hours of gaming (temple run etc..) it seems to last for 1 and half day.

Anyone looking for a phone below 20K, I would recommed this phone.

Since you have already brought this phone.. i don't want to break ur heart on this.. but .. You should have looked for Samsung Grand Quattaro.. I got it for 16K.. with quad core processor.. the only let down that it has a LCD screen.. to me.. which I thing looks fine.. but some people it might be.. otherwize the phone is awesome... for people who are willing to buy a phone within 20.. I would strongly suggest to have a look at it atleast once.

Yes, I checked that as well. I didn't like either Galaxy Grand dual core or quad core. The phone is too big for my liking and the scree nresolution didnt feel that good. Also, when I checked it side by side against Optimus L9, L9 felt much better.

Looking to buy a phone with a budget of max 10k, for a family member.
Nokia & Samsung are the only brands being sought.

The Nokia Lumia 520 seems to be a very nice device, & a great value proposition in the budget.
Any reviews/comments on this device, and other device suggestions from Nokia/ Samsung are welcome.

I don't seem to find any good device from Samsung in the price range. The Galaxy Ace series is there, but it's dated & has slow hardware.

PS: The family member has been using a basic phone until now, & the proposed purchase will be their first (entry-level) smartphone. The phone usage shall include moderate levels of social networking & whatsapp.

Lumia 520 is a really jice device and windows 8 is not that tough for first timers..
also look into sony xperia E.. Its around 9k i think.. Android 4.1.. Nice device.. Look that also..
