      I agree with your post. I, despite knowing all facts, still chose the N8.

      Not because of one feature, but because its a nice all-rounder. Its still the most capable phone if you forget the UI, speed and feel. You can spread a Wifi Hotspot, snap from the 12 mp camera, use gesture control hardware, etc.

      It's like all in one. And since I'm using it, I can say that speed is not that bad... Its acceptable enough.
      Since 2-3 days, using 24 GB's of its storage with 13~ GB filled, I didn't notice any such big lag.

      I still think that Android has a little bit more to mature in terms of features, battery efficiency, etc. But its a great OS though.

          guys Nokia N8 and Galaxy-S r great phones on their own ways...no phone is perfect in all departments.one has grt camera and de other has great UI.it depends on de need of every person on what's his daily requirement r..An iPhone guy shud never think abt file transfer..and a Nokia N8 guy shud never thing abt faster UI[its just my opinion] on offense...and a galaxy guy shud never think abt great battery back up coz its android..

            I have used IPhone3gs, Motorolo Milestone (Android2.1) and HTC desire(android 2.2)
            HTC Desire is an allrounder, its VFM.
            Iphone 3gs just love the way it responds to the touch and apps ( personally my luv increased everyday because of free games and sexy themes)
            Milestone - A decent lookin phone with keypad and lots other goodies.
            Regarding N8 - Man its just a symbian OS, 12MP alrite but they should have given a decent OS for such a big phone (big money too)

              dude..X10 mini is very small, you will have tough time in handlin it..go for X10Mini pro, u can alteast hold it
              Note: both in x10mini/pro it has android 1.6 which is a older version of android
