Never before in my life I have seen such a complete feature set + hardware at such a price point limited only by the BADA OS it employs. But, I foresee that this very BADA OS will be its biggest strength in the near future. As BADA OS was indigenously developed by Samsung, the cost of deployment to lower hardware phones will be as much as the Dumbphone OS they put right now.

So, when Samsung decide to roll out BADA powered phones instead of the Stars and the Corbys at similar pricing points that will be just the jump-start needed for BADA apps to flourish. Waiting for that day to arrive which cannot be very far away. In the meantime, going to my trusty mobile phone shop to get one of those beauties for myself.
+1. And let us know your experience after purchasing it.

        3. No flash for the camera, Wave has a LED Flash,
        4. No dedicated camera key, which Wave has,
        5. Less featured Camera interface, which Wave has better
        6. Feeble loudspeaker, which Wave has at a good level..
        7. Camera has lots of noise, and less detail,

Now you ask me why the 12k extra for Galaxy. I know its contrary...

You know Samsung INNOV8 was priced 40,000 just because Samsung had to pay royalty to Nokia, for using Symbian OS.

Maybe Galaxy is overpriced because of using Android OS?
I almost bought N900 (maemo rocks) but made up my mind and finally bought a Samsung galaxy S today. Paid 31k with a very very veryyy heavy heart. But overall its worth every penny.
Its blazing fast and i watched 007 Quantum of solace on it at 720p .

Everyone i showed it to was blown away with the Awesome 4inch screen and that out of the world video viewing experience.

        Sound quality is awesome.

I also subscribed for Vodafone corporate plan with unlimited download plan.

Nokia N8 was not of my taste. I have seen its hands-on videos on youtube and its nowhere as fast as Galaxy S, Nexus One or iPhone 4. Also Galaxy S beats every other phone out there when running games like Quake 3

It also has a Gfx processor capable of 90Mn texels/Sec . Its nearly 3 times faster than other best phone Motorola droid.

Will post a complete hands on experience and pics on weekend.

Where are you based? I saw Galaxy S selling for 28k in Pune on Saturday in a Samsung exclusive shop with 2 yr warranty.

P.S.: I tried the Samsung Wave out in hand today. Proxy based internet works.. so it is not restrictive like Android / iPhone. And i don't need to switch operator as Vodafone Live worked out of the box. And the hardware used on Galaxy S is the same as Wave minus the internal memory and the comparatively larger screen.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                • SE Vivaz Pro or Samsung Wave

Please help me out, Iam thinking to buy a new mobile max in couple of days. Totally in confuse whether to go for Samsung wave or SE Vivaz.

The main reason which is thinking to go against Samsung Wave is its new OS Bada, as it doesnt support third party application & its GPS(No other GPS SW can be installed).

For Vivaz also i want to know whether it is supporting 3 rd party GPS SW namley Garmin.
                  Give way to trains.

first i want to know what r u looking up in a mobile..i mean u need a better cam or a better touch screen or a stylish mobile or some high performance.

                    wave - over vivaz
:-super omled capacitive screen [which is best in de market]
bada os [which is far better than vivaz symbian one extremely fast]
1GHZ processor against vivaz 720mhz so there is diff in speed
in built memory is also high
Bluetooth version is3.0 which is de latest [vivaz has 2.0]
                    full divx/xvid support
                    vivaz over wave
has got de looks which is de best looking phone on market on my view
has got a advanced 8mpxl hd cam wid hd video recording[wave 5mpxl]
inbuilt PowerVR SGX graphic card [no graphic card in wave]
Symbian os [so it supports lot of third part apps]
                    vivaz supports Garmin .

i personally like the Samsung wave when it comes to UI,,,,don't think of third party apps,,,its just de beginning of bada os ...in future there will be lot of 3rd party apps for bada.capacitive screen in wave is really a performer, vivaz is bit slow. de only think to skip wave over vivaz will be its 8mpxl cam[i don't think u will mind it].watching movies in mled is really a pleasure

go to showroom and test them both and find out de difference..

                    • Thanks Vinoob for your quick reply.

I walked into showroom in a view of buying Samsung Wave & liked it personally, there are no words to describe its super amoled screen, ist simply superb, its cam clarity, touch sensibility are superb.

But some how after seeing Vivaz(as a total package), my mind started diverting towards it.

More over I didnt like Route 66 navigation sowtware which i have tested in Samsung Jet. Can you let me know how much it is costing to get a life time navigation for India from Route 66.

                        • Nokia N8 - VS- Samsung Wave -Which one worth to Buy

                          Hi Guys

These days samsungs has really gone farway (beyond future ) and has come up with really big but low at costs & many such deals for consumers... atleast they have made people to think beyond Nokia

I m in abyss confusion which device is worth to buy, Samsung Wave as a package sounds awesome, but reliability & few other advancement makes N-8 outstanding device.. following are my points or say criteria :-

                          1) I m not in hurry.. currently using Sony P1i (from last 1.9 yrs) no problem yet but would like to switch over new phone..
                          2) Bada or Symbian (OVI) does not facinate me.. as i have no time to download applications available over Ovi stores or Bada (if they have really )
                          3) 12 MP humm yes it does facinate me.. but 5 MP is enough for my requirement
                          4) Battery Back is the most i m concern about
                          5) Next to battery is the technology advancement (not sure if N8 wins or Wave)

There are many other points but i wont make it more dicey..

Appreciate if some expert over here can guide me on which phone is worth to buy and which not... To make it simpler can we have review on both phones or comparison done...desperate to know pros & cons for both phone when compared.. please help on this...

Also Just thinking out of box for Samsung Wave , if we can see the output of HD video or pictures taken from 5MP camera or any HD movie in wave over my HD ready LCD TV.. like Nokia N-8 do..
As Nokia N-8 is providing HDMI cable which will help in connecting with HDMI port & act as output ..also with Dolby digital sound.. which will enrich home theatre system...

Any idea !!! if can do with Samsung Wave too...

n8 is purely a camera phone and its ram and processor is more than sufficient to run symbian OS.am waiting for this phone desperately but they keep on extending the release date and we are getting it below 25k.i really dont care much about hdmi...its image sensor is bigger than the digital cameras out there

wave is a all rounder phone ... if pictures are not a criteria then get this dude
