Shocking reply from Cramster in this thread

I just got a new bike and was seriously considering getting all my gear from Cramster, definitely an order more than 11,000. But looking at the tone of the official reply by Cramster, let me tell you that now I will buy from *anywhere* except Cramster.

Cramster, this is absolutely no way to speak to a customer, if your employee has made a commitment over the phone, you *must* deliver, even if the money comes out of the employees pocket - or your own pocket.

What you did is not only morally outrageous, but actually illegal in many countries. It's not acceptable to step down from an employee's commitment. Just a week ago, for example, Apple delivered 2,00,000 computers at a 42% discount after putting up an incorrect price on their website for a few hours.

I don't presume to tell you how you should run your company, and I understand employees make mistakes. But let me tell you this, as a consumer I fully expected you to
          1) Respond to this thread officially, promptly and apologetically
          2) Give those guys a discount voucher for future shopping

Cramster, it's just a matter of taking pride in yourself and manning up to your commitments. But more than that I am shocked at the callous tone you take in your reply in this thread. I am new to this forum and I don't know those guys who were let down by you, but I know for a fact that Cramster has lost me as a potential customer for life, and business of around 25k due to your high-handed reply to this thread.

My cramstar gloves the wrist fastener came off due to poor quality stiching within a few days of usage got it replaced a year back when i got it, now after many months of very rare use the stich quality still doesnt gives me the confidence of a long lasting one.

Their knee guard protected my knees from a crash though! and other than some fitting issues (getting loose often) they are a really good piece of product at a good price!

From ^^^ you're trying to say that the stitch quality is not good

From ^^^ you're trying to say the knee guard does the job, but gets loose often, which ideally it shouldn't. Again you're saying the products are good piece of product at good price.

What do you intend to say, the poor stitching & loose knee guards are acceptable? I'm confused

I think it would be best if Cramster replies to this thread and acknowledge what its customers and more importantly fellow motorcyclists are saying. That would not be the first step to taking care of the concerns here but would be a hallmark of a good business.

In the interest of not branding Cramster negative in the long term.

Its been a week now & Cramster hasn't either looked into this thread or not bothered to reply to any our posts here. Do we consider the silence of Cramster as acknowledgment for all our fellow members experiences?

Oh... Probably they're too busy with the new Inventory they've received. Im sure they are silent spectators to whats been going on since the last post from there end. I've got a better deal somewhere and I for one, really dont have plans to buy anything from them anytime.

I guess you guys really aren't India's favorite riding gear and Motorcycle Luggage store anymore. Atleast not Mine.

Guess they are busy replenishing their stocks with new stuff.

I wonder if the quality has improved... only time will tell.

Anyway an update on my Raptor jacket.... Its been exactly 3 months and a 3 days since I got my ninja and I have clocked a lil over 5000 kms... all with this jacket and the DSG revive gloves.

So what state is my protective gear in?

The DSG Revive gloves are as good as new... except for the change in shape (has taken the shape of my hands and the fingers are curved on the gloves - perfectly natural phenomenon). There is some splatter from crashing at high speed into butterflies and other bugs... otherwise not a bloody thread has come loose. not a tear, nothing !!! Period !!! I paid 1900 bucks for this and it is worth every damn paisa. Highly recommended. I have never ridden the ninja without these gloves.

Now coming to the Crapster Raptor.

Within a week of the purchase the lining on the cuff wore off.... tearing off is the right word. Had hardly ridden 300 kms too. The staff exchanged the jacket and even in the 2nd one I saw that the stitch quality on the velcro strips was horrible and even the quality of velcro was pathetic. There were only 2 pairs and the other one was even worse. Within a days worth of riding one velcro strip was hanging from the sleeve, thanks to almost non existing stitches. My wife stitched the velcro strip back. The cramster guys asked me not to post here and complain, rather come to the shop and have it sorted. Nice. But how many times am i gonna go and get my stuff exchanged or repaired? On my last sunday ride, the rubber grip on the waist strap came off. Faulty stitching again... You wanna know what's worse? The protection. The armor. Yes. CE approved it is. BUT is it going to help? I SERIOUSLY doubt it. Even with the sleeve buttons ON (there are 2 levels of tightness on the sleeve) and on the tight mode (2nd button) the armor on my elbow moves. I can move it so much that my elbow is exposed to impact and armor is nowhere close to the bone. I might have to rivet few more buttons for the armor to stay in place.... and I'm not from Somalia so i dont have bony arms like most female models. God forbid I have a crash with this jacket and break my elbow or arm. I'm gonna wear a separate elbow guard for my personal protection. 5200 bucks wasted.

Edit: @Felix, care to share more details on the new stuff you came across?

                            @ aditya:
I Have a cramster Mx street glove with me, and i got to tell you, from the 5 I've seen so far, 2 are in a very bad shape, 1 is in the final stage. The other two have been barely used. The stiches on the palm have started to give way on mine, barely used it 3 times in the scorching sun.

The SCOYCO jacket Im buying is from Raw adventures. I'll PM you the link otherwise this thread might just stray somewhere else...

@Adi - I'm more disappointed with Cramster after your last post. When people here recommended DSG gloves, I've decided to buy it; I'll never go for Cramster's saddle bags too, even if it were the best in the market.

If Cramster is so worried on the postings, why aren't they taking these comments seriously, this is my only concern. Ok, anyway, since I no longer intend to purchase from them, I better stop my rantings

@ All : My post was only meant to educate prospective customers so they dont feel cheated. I have nothing personally against cramster nor am i gaining anything by recommending DSG.

@ aargee: Go with DSG my friend. They wont disappoint you. And my feedback on the revive has been posted from my personal experience rather than just hearsay.
