Ok. Came online after a long long time, and found something really interesting here.

I want to replace the switches of my CBR150R with the blue backlit switches coming in P200NS. Is this possible ????Yes it's possible but you need the BCU from Pulsar as well. Better I would suggest CBR250R switch console. They are not backlit for sure but they are of much better quality and come with an engine kill and pass.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Postsure, it's possible. . .
Price you can check with the local bajaj outlet/SVC and for connections, trust me dude they are very complicated. You would need a lot of changes, new plugs, etc. And yes, officially your bike's electrical warranty will stand void which includes Honda taking no responsibility on the bike's electrical, ECU and rest of the stuff misbehaving (if it does).Originally posted by jomindolges View PostHow much for one set of switches ??? How can I give the connection ???
I have seen a first lot CBZ (not extreme or star, I am talking of the first one) with Pulsar backlit switches and they work.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostFirst of all those who are saying its possible would love to ask them, have they done it or they know the in and out of wiring of the BCU ?
It is not possible to install the backlit switches of Pulsar because they are powered by the BCU unit which also controls the other electricals of the bike.
Installing pulsar's BCU is also ruled out as it wont be reliable w.r.t your bike and it would require loads of wiring.
Just for your help Pulsar switch costs 660 (one side)
Basically Pulsar switches are magnetic in nature and not contact switches like we get conventionally and to operate that, you need a relay. So it's not that you can't make it work without a BCU but again, finding or making a properly configured relay is difficult. And if you just want to add the BCU, man it's a hell lotta work. For instance, P135LS does come with the same switches but as far as I know, do not come with any sort of BCU. It just has a relay unit to help the magnets work.
Nothing is impossible dude. That's where the word "Retrofit" is born.Originally posted by Sird View PostNot possible.
Its just not the switches and it by any chance you're thinking to change the switch assembly, even then its not possible because those assemblies have 2-3 holes for screws are are relevant to the handle bar.
I mean, the handle bar & Switch assembly are meant for each-other to fit accurately.
else you'll be having a loose switch assembly.
That thing is connected to Brake & clutch Lever too on both the side so You'll be having a loose / rotating Levers too
Cheerz.
Ya I have seen it too. Not impossible but damn difficult.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Postyou have to ask your mechanic about these, not too familiar about the pricing and all but have seen few who have done it. . .
Seriously agree with you. Individual replies suck.Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post@Rakesh Rok : Cant you multi-quote and then reply, if you have noticed earlier mod did this for you.
And all the best to who-so-ever is going for the pulsar backlit switches
Awesome job dude. How did you do it?Originally posted by christo View Post
Open the engine? :O Are you serious? Dude he is just installing an Engine Kill, he isn't installing a Supercharger.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Postbro as much as I know, seen and heard, it can be possible, but to fit for switches like engine kill switch to your CBR150R will be a job and they need to open your engine. I strongly recommend you don't do this for a new bike, if you have a old bike, then it's fine. . .
Exactly. It's a very basic wiring man.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostThere is no need to "open the engine", rather playing too much with the wiring and the electricals
Ok. Came online after a long long time, and found something really interesting here.
Raneet, sorry was previously had wrong information, I had seen this engine kill switch on a suzuki fiero, later after inquiring with him about it got to know it's just wiring work not real deal of opening the engine and all, sorry about that and here's a video in youtube which I found, it can help you in that How To Wire A Kill Switch On A Small Engine - YouTube
and for further information,
Instructions
1 Determine the position of your kill switch on the left handlebar. Remove and place duct or electrical tape over your handlebar where the switch will be installed if wanted to protect your handlebar's finish.
2 Mount the kill switch on your handlebar using the bracket, screw and nut that came with the kill switch. Apply loctite to the nut to prevent it from shaking loose from motor vibration.
3 Attach the wire coming out of your kill switch to the white wire (or whatever color wire your instructions say is for the kill switch) coming from your engine.
4 Route your kill switch wires out and away from the engine and exhaust to protect your wires from the engine heat.
5 Secure your wires to your bike with zip ties.
Found this in some webiste, hope this information helps and sorry for the before said words,
Cheers!!!

Re: Share Your Creativity (Bike Modification)
Had seen them of the Fb page.
Seriously you guys are just Awesome.
Obviously there are many many custom painters out there but the bulky over-paint / design looks bad.
But your concepts are pretty cool.
Would love to get something from you guys on my future superbike

Re: Share Your Creativity (Bike Modification)
Hi Guys,
Recently shifted to Delhi from Mumbai. Have a 2 year old Yamaha Fazer 153 cc. Due to improper handling by the Packer and mover, the bike got damaged. Got it serviced but still some beautification needs to be done. So thinking of getting the bike modified instead of getting the stock look back again. Not a huge modification as such, but was wondering if the tourer can be modified to look like its big prother: FJR1300a. This would include getting a full fairing, hence would need someone to attach a oil cooling mechanism as well. Just love the color of the bike in the pic attached below. Would be great if any delhihites can help me with the details of an experienced person who can do this job for me. Dont mind spending 10-15k. Not looking for any performance improvement since happy with 35 kmpl mileage and maximum speed of 105 km/hr.. Thank you so much.
