    • From the highly technical discussions happening in the last few pages, this is what I understand. People want to know:-

      What is the 165cc block? Stock bore, re-bored or imported ready-made 165cc or any other?

      How can the modifications to stock R15 head to said/claimed dimensions be made? Implying it cannot be made or these modifications cannot be made on stock head. Sorry if I missed out on any other point.

      Obviously, Joel is the best person to answer this since he is selling it.

        R15 Stock Head : Can be Ported (Its not on DiAsil)
        R15 Stock Block : Cannot be re-sleeved, coz there is no sleeve in it, in the 1st place. Its a one mold. Re-bore cannot be done upto my knowledge coz the Die-Casting process waves up at high temp, when compared to a regular sleeve based block. So a re-boring attempt may damage the re-boring machinery. I just tried polishing my stock block, which did not withstand. Also we know it anticipates heat much better.

        165CC Block: Its a normal sleeve based (as like the Local ones), can be rebored or re-sleeved.

        My advise on R15 stock head porting is, after a certain limit the ports cannot be enlarged. So we can get a custom head with our desired port size, so we can get the respective bigger size valves. All will be in factory finish. Cost factor can be placed aiding the head porting, but you can pickup a good quality after market head for 40-50USD, I think the stock head porting will cost more. Not sure though...

          • This thread has picked momentum from the last time I saw it. Anyway, I honestly feel that this is a forum to ask questions and get answers. Members should not feel bad if someone is asking questions and seeking answers to those...it's his fundamental right on a knowledge sharing forum like xBhp.
            It does not matter what thread that question is posted or which senior member is requested for answers. As seniors, it would be only correct to answer questions in a way which would invoke no further questions!

              Would you have anything quantitative in mind while speaking of limit? Just curious to know. I remember two numbers from few pages back, 24mm & 19mm. Is this inside or outside of limits? Note-I am absolute novice and I am just trying to summarize stand/opinions of various people here. Nothing else intended.

                    Its the way you took it, by mentioning "Crap Sold" , I actually meant the Honing technology that was being used inappropriately. Its was not against any product.

                      +1 to that.....1 month ago i sent my engine head to RC( Race Concept) today I received it and what i saw is that the upper part of the head is beoken in other words its of no use now.Its time for a proper review of RC's products will be doing it soon.

Here carmakers are importing the who car as cbu and selling it....so what is wrong in here... Nobody here cares where these are manufactured and what these are as long as it is delivering what it promises...who cares if it is manufactured in india, japan, thailand, china or at sridhar or harishk's house... FYI iphones are manufactured in china..does it make it bad..? No...

                            The pipe thats bent is the nozzle through which the excess air from reed valve chamber enters the AFR mix again. If you are using an FFE you can block both the Reed intake (The port seen below the bent pipe) and out (which is bent)

                            • Revhard - If you notice the reply to you carefully, the word "FULL TRIM" is a very vague statement; it can include 170cc, cam, exhaust, head, clutch & springs as well as room for more mods. So you really cannot count on it saying the existing mods can make 25 bhp.

                              This vagueness is precisely what I was trying to say before, but most people here instead of understanding the post thought I was against & started a war.

                              I simply don't feel like bringing this topic anymore for as the saying goes "wise men learn from other's mistake, normal people learn from their own mistakes & ..." Besides I personally know 3 of my good friends who underwent lots of troubles, took help from a few good people around here, fixed the issue. But when asked to share their experiences here, they've backed off. Hell!!! I guess most people are scared as wet cat more than the will to help the community!!!

                              Would love to know what issues you faced since i am a probable costomer of the 165cc bigbore... your inputs will be valuable and i expect a polite answer explaining the facts
