This has been a difficult feat for most bikes... pull to the red line in top gear (that too a sixth... for a 150 CC) and that too assuringly and in 9 seconds!!! I wish this be the truth but am very skeptical!

    • The main factor that is affecting the performance of this bike is it's weight 149kg (similar to Zma)...

      • I dont think the GS pulls till the redline in 6th gear. The 150cc is just not powerful enough to pull till the red line in top gear, 6th in this case. To me, 6th seems as an overdrive gear, and top speed definitely seems to be coming in 5th.

Yo dont get me wrong, I said that if you wring the throttle to max in fifth and then shift up to sixth the speed is gonna increase by only 5kmph, 500rpm is it all gonna take from the red line and that does not mean you pull in sixth gear.I say this becuase I had been through Suzuki bikes- Shogun and Fiero. Both had this nature of increasing speed when throttle is kept in for 5-9 secs around top speeds.Shogun(stock) posted a 115kmph for me while actually most riders claims it cannot do over 105kmph.Fiero(1st gen) did a speedo indicated 125kmph that translates to nothing less than 117kmph,though company claims it can only float around 110kmph at top speeds.GSR has a Suzuki engine and in name of all that is fast it is also gonna show that Suzuki trait.

              • I called the people at Ibays suzuki to know when the deliveries are going to start and as expected they gave me an another shock.Initially they said it was in 2 week of feb but now they r saying it is postponed to 4th week of feb and that to they cant confirm it and also said it would be an additional RS.1800 for accesories as crash, saree guard are not part of standard equipment.I have decided to cancel the booking and would look for an alternative.

                    i don't think so...
GS looks very similar to Pulsar....
an it does not have that Charming figures in specs...
RTR would be a better option then GS

This may sound a bit funny, but I may sell off both my existing bikes&get the GS&the Ninja!

I am puzzled why you want to sell the R-15 for GS. May be GS is a decent bike but not a great one. The engine of GS is no way close to R-15's. Just my opinion.

+1 ... I was myself puzzled to see this question. Logical it surely is!
