      • Suzuki might have released this bike 2yrs ago. Now its outdated ie nothing special when compared to its competitors. New 150cc buyers can opt Suzuki150 with eyes closed rather than going for Pulsar or Unicorn. Not worth upgrading our 150cc to the new Suzuki150. Suzuki would have pumped up the engine with 17bhp.

        • Man,what site released those specifications on the Suzuki bike.Doesn't it seems odd that 6-gears with only13.8bhp? and 149kg kerb!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the engines block a Hot rod or what?????????

Has Suzuki by themselves confirmed the technical figures.Suzuki on their news only said engines have been given technology to perform optimally in city riding.....................this means strong in gear acceleration, good 30-70 kmph timings, big torque and overtaking power. Can it come out of a 149kg macihne with only 13.8hp?????????? What about power to weight ratio?????

No wonder if these specifications are true...........................We need to learn riding such a machine from Suzuki themselves !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Likely, there's a switch that upon pressing, makes the auto-adjustment, i.e. dances like disco-lights.. .. Joking, don't take it elseway..

To the topic, if anyone rides the black GS150R on the roads, people will very likely think BAL has launched new Pulsar...

            • Like Payeng, I too noticed the one line that sunk it all for Suzuki. "..... will be released in january 2009"

Now If Yamaha were to have done the same with the launch of the R15 by saying the launch of this beast will be a few months later but this is what we promise then a lot of people might have put their Karizma / 200 / 220 purchases on hold and waited for the launch of the R15. Only because it offers so many hithero unheard of features in an Indian motorcycle. But Suzuki gives us the bastard child of the Unicorn & the Pulsar with nothing special to note of and tell us to wait till January. Why do they assume that we Indian bikers lost our intelligence at some point in time ?

                • The suzuki gs150r

                  Fellow bikers

another day another 1500cc launched in India. Or is it so? yes to a large extent. Suzuki has launched the all new GS150R and finaly entering into the 1500cc class in the country. Months after their Jap rivals yamaha have created tehelka in it. Honda was always a strong player in the class and now suzuki completes the jap trio in the class (obv. omitting kawasaki since they arent in the Indian market independantly.

From the pictures that ive seen online its nothing refreshing, the headlamp and front fairing resembles the pulsar/unicorn, the tank looks alot like the apache, and the rear end looks alot like the CBZ-X. Weather this Suzuki will do the GSR badging justice will reamin to be seen. According to me the suzu will have its work cut out to make its individual stand in the market since theres nothing radically outstanding design wise and borrows alot of its design cues from existing Indian steeds that too the same ones in its class..........

Power and torque figures stand similar to the unicorns i.e. 13.8 BHp and a 14 NM odd of torque......Although a 6-Speed shift system just might lend you that grin on the highways. The GS150 R now becoming the second Indian production motorcycle to feature a 6-speeder, thats definatelly a poisitive move. Bike aficionadosround the country will be tad dissappointed though as rumor had it that the new suzuki offering would b close to 17-20bhp. A big let off by those numbers then.

Anyway finally it looks like all INdian Bike makers are taking the Indian market seroiusly. For stagnation and unwillingness on ones part not to expand company plans transltes into major losses eventually. TVS learnt that and recently yamaha did to. Now both of them are off to resonably good starts and their market shares will only further Grow...

                  All the best best Suzuki.......
