can we stop the rev limiter in our bikes?

Yes,but not safe for a stock engine.

Anything??

is it possible to bring the rev limiter down.. I mean if it kicks in at 11k rpm, then I want it to start working at 8-9k rpm

IVE GOT THIS DOUBT AS when we increase our bhp marginally by the performance mods like porting big bore air filters ffe
then even the rev limiter plays a role too isnt it guys ?
so wanted to know if there is a way to change that limit

is there any thing to stop that rev limit ?

ECU Upgrade,

You have two reliable options,

1) Joel's ECU and 2) Daytona's

If you want a very cheap alternate you order a Piggyback for R15/Vixion from Indonesia ...etc

But see if you can touch the rev-limiter in 6th gear after your modds. If you are able to then switch over, also after these modds your bike may run lean to compensate ECU may be required.

My suggestion would be Joel's coz its the cheap and best.

Whats the cost of the FFE for P220 ?

Will it improve performance ?

If Yes will the FE decerease ?

Your questions have been answered earlier, it will increase performance and fuel efficiency will increase as for pricing you need to contact joel directly.

Hey guys i find every1 very enthusiastic about joel's work ..
We'll believe me people as long as JOEL is here , no worries about getting our bikes run faster reliable and better than ever you think is possible ,

We'll i got my bike karizma which is 225 cc and 18bhp or something can hit a top speed of 130 or 135 when gone fully aerodynamic (total crouch) looking through the visor .

we'll i heard about bike being modified in Bangalore and since i didnt know The legend Joel, i came across a man called "Prabhakar", he claims to be he's the one whose gonna modify my bike and make it beat a 220 in dust .

i handed him my bike and after few months say 2 months , he come and tells me ur bike is ready the amount is 45k , i was shocked but then , i gave it , and took my bike .

BIKE EXPERIENCE :- Guys i tell u , admit it or no , The bike was SMASHING and insanely FAST i was able to leave the r15 and 220 to DUST , total dust without even making the engine Strain . according to prabhakar , after mods
the engine was re-bored making it 230cc and producing 23 bhp, we'll there was a k&N air filter fixed , and a joel'ed free flow exhaust .. and ABS for the brakes . Bike was simply superb.

The real trouble after driven 500km's starts.. since i have not handed over the bike directly to Joel ..
i dont know what went wrong , but , i see a broken piston in my bike very often i had to change it 2 times .. and the valves are damaged some shit like that ,

Then i spoke with joel , tell u people Joel was SHocked .. first thing was 40k ? i only charged 14k dude , for 40k u would get a total race kit now that's a big wonder to me secondly joel was totally amazed to hear about BROKEN PISTON

After talking to joel i felt one thing that , the parts that joel used in my bike are genuine , and the originally the work done by joel was in a week , then why did that mediator guy had to give me after 2 months that 3 actually .., and he charged 45k ?

Later i came to know that this so called mediator guys has changed the piston with some stupid piston found in ram koti @hyderabad .
and i got my bike totally screwed to death Guys ..

Take my Advice , Never give ur bike to some mediator ..
Take a time out for urself drive to Bangalore and hand it directly to JOEL and no one else ..

Dude Joel i Admire u a lot man .. But cause of some ppl Useless Shit Show off Bozzo Work , things mite go bad .. watch out buddy ... Im posting this cause i didnt wanted ur hard work and reputation to go bad ..

SElf experienced a very bad thing in my life man , but JOel Hats off man for ur effort u put for my bike man , it was a monster . \m/ cheers man .

Guys , dont give ur bikes to a mediator and send them to JOEL . Personally hand it TO the RACing LEGEnd ..

ya.. i have heard stories that he tags a bomb to get r15 joelled and never allows the costumer come in contact with joel... Bad you had to experienced it...:-(

How does the RTR 160 with Joel's big bore kit + FFE compare with a stock RTR 180/pulsar 180 ?

Has anyone had the chance to run these bikes in a sort of shoot-out ?

P.S Have the FFE.Waiting for the big bore...

But this is the ultimate mistake of your life time, are you in a different country or a island??

You should have first contacted Joel directly and should have got the dealing straight.

The total works done on your bike were -
1. Engine was done by Joel - Handed over the bike to Joel in Banglore on 13th Feb 2010.
Took back the bike from him by personally going to Joel in the last week of April (Due to busy schedule of Joel he was not able to start my bike for a long time). Can provide the hotel bills of the same if some 1 wants to verify.
Went to banglore after the second payment was done.

2. Your bike did not have foot pegs - it came back from an accident to me.
Fairing was totally broken.These were replaced before the bike was handed over to Joel.
Your engine got seized without engine oil when you gave it to me - Proof is your friend Ashish ( People who want his mobile number for verification can PM me). We first got it to right shape here and then it was handed over to Joel. The bike's history was no service or engine oil change till 13000kms when you gave it to me.


3. Both the tires were replaced on your insistence - Michelin m45 as both tires were in bad shape.

4. Front disk brakes were replaced as they were totally worn out.

5. ABS was installed.

6. Chain kit was totally damaged and was replaced.

3,4,5,6 were done in the front of your brother who insisted for these works to give me the check.

Please Call up your friend ASHISH & Your Brother to get verification about all these.

Further you have taken my bike and damaged it also.
I think I don't need to remind you about you taking a full tank vehicle and returning it without any petrol & damaged foot peg, Totally bent brake pedal & Damaged & Dented silencer.
If You forget it please call up your friend for that info.

I request you to kindly provide me the details of the amount paid to me.
The check which your Father gave bounced & he refused to pay the amount later stating that he is in some deep financial trouble.
I left it after your mother had a talk to me & I felt it was genuinely a case of financial problem.

For every one who is feeling bad about the higher charges -
I personally took the vehicle to Joel & got it back personally.
It'll be costly if you want it done in person rather than just sending the engine or some parts.
He insisted not to put the vehicle in transport & that is the reason for higher charges.
I was looking for a profit of Rs. 3,900.00 for the total effort I'm putting.


The charges for transportation were always included when I quoted a price to any person.
Also the charges included my profit too.

He says Now that the bike was good, it was a monster.
But will a duplicate piston be the same as the High quality piston used by joel??
Will it perform in the same way?
Can some 1 please explain him what would be the cost of changing a piston after using the vehicle for atleast 1000kms?
Also does any1 in hyderabad selling Pistons at a rate which will negate the cost of labour to change it??
My other question would be if the Bike is so good as made by Joel how come the Piston blew on the first hand??
You can simply understand what stories are being cooked up.

Last but not the least I request Sidharth to provide me the name of the showroom where he got his Pistons replaced twice & Valves replaced once.
The service center should have a record of the same.
If any such bills are produced I'm willing to pay him back his amount and get it returned to showroom condition at my expense.
Will get them replaced in a SHOWROOM with original spares - everything we changed in the engine ( Pistons, bore, air filter, Carb ( only jet was changed ), exhaust, etc.).


( 8 vehicles ( Including Mine) done by Joel for me are working perfectly without any engine issue.
All the vehicles are giving same or higher mileage but not less.
None of the vehicles have failed so far.
Did not do any vehicle modification in the last Seven months ( Stopped due to personal commitments and another exciting work. Bike also being sparingly used 500 odd km From Nov 2010).
May not start till I complete my other works ( Atleast till April 2012).
All the vehicles except 1 have crossed 15k mark after modifications.
Mine did 22000 kms after the Modifications.

My bike clocked 16.3 sec in Deccan quarter mile drag securing 4th place ( Behind Joel's ZMA & 2 Comets).
Same internals still running.

I can provide the details of all of them if some 1 wants to verify by PM.

Well anyways guys that was just a piece of advice from mine ,
Self experienced , For any1 out there still wants to get screwed with your money ... The ROad is all yours people ...
