Hey all. Shiv, Akki, Joel.
This is getting a bit out of hand. I believe that fair competition is good but this is just unhealthy bashing on a personal and unprofessional unbelievably disgusting level.
Firstly there are always risks when modding that's a given. But stick to the topic. His Honda city is far from crap and whatever else yall choose to call it. I've seen it, been in it. And peed myself in it. So please. Don't talk rot for the heck of it. Secondly. He's busier than motozone. That's for sure. I don't see a motozone drag car nor a motozone race bike ANYWHERE. That being said, cut some slack. I won't make excuses for his late deliveries and what not. But I doubt any of yall need an explanation anymore.
THE WHEELIE MONSTER.
This bike was the Light at the end of the tunnel for me at a very trying time. It is a friend's and a very loved and we'll known bike in chennai (sorry wheelies are too hard to pass up on a bike this good). I met Ashwin (Owner of bike fz) on a sunny Saturday morning. He had a package for me and I was over joyed to meet him and that was the start of a friendship and love for a bike like no other.
The bike. A black fz18 with the works. Carb, big BORE KIT, EXHAUST, cdi, camshaft. And the performance I Met the bike when it completed 2000kms of varied and perfect break in. She is now at 10528kms and performs like the first time I rode her.
Performance.
If one can say wheelie then this is the bike man effortless pull anywhere and everywhere, except top end, where some jetting and cdi work is being attended to by Joel. (the TUNER). From 2000-8500 she pulls better than a stock R15 and on par with my stock 220 (before I worked on her) and for now that bike is happy and so is the owner. She starts every morning. Never chokes and dies. Idles well and in fact gets like 32 mileage when I ride it. That's saying a lot XD. The oil never goes down and to top it off out of all the Bullshit in the thread. Not even a single problem as described by Shiv has cropped up.
Some figures for the number junkie. 0-100 in 9 flat seconds with a perfect launch. (gps verified). Mileage 32-37. And finally she never heats up, the exhaust doesn't pop and she does what you ask. When you ask. And does it. Again and again and again.
Now to put to rest some stuff.
The cam sound. Back in the states my dad had a 1969 Chevrolet camaro Z28 not a numbers matching car but a z28 none the less. It had, a high lift cam, a bigger carb, and a bored and stroked motor with msd ignition. Now. The cam in that car. Had a lopey idle and made the same tick tick sound (down be juvenile and call it a tailor saab noise please how old are we.) it's refused to start in the mornings and took forever to warm up. Next the carb needed constant tuning thanks to the bored and stroked motor. And that meant constant work and attention. Now don't these seem like problems so infamously portrayed by Shiv? Fact of the matter is that these are everyday and part and parcel packages of tuning or screwing with a stock engine. This is a Labour of love and if you aren't up to it. Don't do it.
Now. My 220 is going to Joel. And so will my other bikes till I leave India. That being said. Every morning i warm the bike up. Check oil level and etc and then set of. A modded bike is like having a grocery list given by the wife. Don't check everything off the list you won't hear the end of it when you get back home. If you do.
Finally. Attacking his Honda city's is a low blow. Something a fighter in the ring knowing he is losing would do. Those cars are formidable and there are figures to back them up. So keep to topic.
