Regarding the big bore kit for apache rtr 180. I got my friends bike. he told me tat the acceleration is low. and the bike is struggling as if it don hav petrol. the bike had overheating problems. and the previous mechanic dint install head gasket. so i removed the cylinder head and measured the bore dia.
Apache rtr 180
Bore - 62.5mm
Stroke - 57.8mm ( info collected from google)
Displacement comes to 177cc
190cc kit
Bore dia - 63mm
Stroke same as rtr 180 - 57.8
Displacement - 180cc
Then how come they call it as a 190cc big bore kit.
The piston seems to be a high dome piston. but it doesn look like a big bore kit. its 3cc higher than stock.
pls correct me if im wrong

there might be some tuning issue and dirt stuck in carb or some other issue..u dont need a performance upgrade to restore back to its glories...the performance upgrade will surely increase your performance but it will increase the performance over your stock performance...so i guess if the mechs are not able to solve it ask for help from xbhp memebrs and PSR sir has a lot of knowledge abt karizma....if not take it to as ASC and get your problem rectified...Originally posted by saikrishna111 View PostHi, i have a pulsar 220f and also i have a karizma 2006 model, now a days my zma is lacking in pick up ,mainly top speed it's top speed has redused to 110km/hr,i showed it to several mechs but they can't detect it's exact problem,so i sawed that you had a performance upgrades for zma,if i install this performance kit to my zma will it get it's performance back.I want my bike back to it's glories.Waiting for your reply.

Hi Joel
Nice to see the revolution in Indian motorbike industry. I am just wondering, have you ever tried to convert one single cylinder 4 stroke motorbike to twin cylinder. Just like Ankit Vardhan and Anand Bhalerao done on Enfield. They both use different method but final result was same i.e. converted Royal Enfield 350 to 700 (v twin). Royal Enfield is lacking in instant pickup but v twin resolved it and Anand claimed that his 700 cc is producing 40+ BHP. Isn't it awesome. I wish to own one twin, Indian motorbike and hoping this is going to be a reality, very soon.
I will appreciate if you will share your experience (single to twin conversion) and if you have such design ready then please let me know. I am keen to have it.

Visited Joel's place recently. Joel was kind enough to share almost 2 hours discussing cars and bike development. He also showed me some of his on going projects. There is one 'black' project that is very very interesting. While its not converting a single cylinder engine to a twin cylinder engine, it involves development of a 200cc air/oil cooled 4 valve engine adapted in an R15 delta box chassis. It is seems to be a killer and am waiting to see the results.Originally posted by nav_kapoor View PostHi Joel
