A engine which was made after years and years of R&D by a multi billion dollor company....

Seriously if a person can do it on his own he must be a einstine equelent of automobiles/bikes...
see when a company decides to come out with a Engine or Product .. it will face with lot of constraints .. like developing from scratch or maintaining country specific emission norms or a particular power band..money..resource...etc..etc.

now a person can tune it without the much of above constraints ..like if achieving a power/speed is the goal .. then emission norms or cost will not factor here even though it achives that desired power it makes it road illigal and no longer meets any of industry specific standards like the power/weight ratio or emission or fuel economy,.. and not to forget tuneing already existing this is much easier than creating a new one from scratch.

not only joel but there are lot of unheard mechanics who has these skills .. i hope u got ur answer

Agreed, moreover reputed factories like Yamaha and Honda focus more on reliability, hence they tune the bike according to the package without focusing on extracting every bit of juice available in the engine. You may extract it with a FFE etc, at a cost of the factory tuned reliability.

        More kilos????

WOW, Joel: I thought you were a race-bike-pilot size, short and skinny, but you now reveal you are 75kG (gently mocking: I am 80+!)!!! Just tell me then (sorry if it's OT): that was YOU, wasn't it, who rode the FZ16 reaching 135 kmh after superb acceleration...? With 75kg, and with "only" big bore kit, RC headworks but stock valves, stock CDI, 32mm. carb, Simota air filter, RC camshaft, and RC exhaust...!!!?!?

Gee, you do even more wonders than I thought, man! Pleeeeeeeeaaaaase send me my camshaft (and other parts), QUICKLY!!!!!!!!

        • Yes that was me who rode the FZ. I weigh 75 kilos now. So not a skinny guy anymore that I used to be at one point in time.

              • Its a pity that Honda India has no stock of even basic parts. As a privateer I cannot afford/risk buying new bikes to salvage parts. Its a real pity that small things like a cylinder head gasket, block gasket etc of both the 250 and the baby CBR is not in stock. Let alone tuning them and even going racing.
Yamaha is really great that way. You get all that you want and one of the main reasons why I still stick to the R15. CBR150 and 250 are capable machines, but lack zero support from factory.

If you go back to my post #198, dated 27th. of July, you will see that I recalled him for sending me the FZ16 camshaft plus a few other parts I had ordered, and that recall was three months ago.

Mr. Joel Joseph: you find the time to go through the posts on this forum, and even reply, promoting your business.

You told me you had lots of camshafts, even asked you to help me selling some. In your last mail, you wanted confirmation of the items ordered, forgetting a few, but I did not say a thing preferring to loos a few INR that nearly 200 US Dollars.

I here urge you to react. There has been enough excuses already (races, changing office, being sick, courier guys not doing their jobs, national strikes .....you name it, you have it!

I am very sorry to have to resource to making your "slowliness" public. I hope this will make you react...!

Thank you for the info, Chinmayakar. Joel told me in his last mail that he was badly sick....but I must confess that I took that as another excuse!

Let's wish him prompt recovery, and that he will get back on his feet soon....and send us our parts!

                      • Race concepts tuned cbr250r..

Hello everyone.. I got my cbr250r joeled..
i sent my bike by train from mumbai to bangalore ,got it delivered on 29th jan.. need to mention that it came in the same good condition as it went (SPECIAL THANKS TO MR JOEL JOSEPH FOR PACKING THE BIKE SO CAREFULLY)
was waiting for a long time for the time to be correct for all this.. finally discussed with joel about the dates and works to be done and sent the bike..
                        FOLLOWING ARE THE WORKS DONE:
                        1. CYLINDER HEAD PORTING
                        2. MODIFIED INTAKE SYSTEM
                        3. STOCK REPLACEMENT FILTER
                        4. STIFFER CLUTCH SPRINGS
                        5. STEERING DAMPER
                        6. FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION TUNE
                        7. STEEL BRAIDED BRAKE LINES
now as these concepts are not new.. so i hope there is no need to tell about these things..
the headwork , intake mod along with the air filter has contributed together for a smooth and powerful ride, the gear shifts are much much smoother now, the stock exhaust growl has changed..
THE MOST INTERESTING BIT WHICH I REALLY LOVED A LOT IS THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE BIKE IN HANDLING DEPARTMENT..

the steering damper, the front and rear suspension tune is must for all cbr250r owners.. the bike cannot be compared with R15 but has improved a lot.. now i can say the cbr250r as a track bike..AS SAID BY JOEL ITSELF.. THE BIKE DOESNT FEEL LIKE A LAZY BOAT NOW..its now very good at corners and the maneuvaring has imroved at great extent
IT NOW HAS THAT HOOLIGAN CHARACTER LIKE THE KTM DUKE200, AND THE RPM NEEDLE CLIMBS THE SAME WAY LIKE THE DUKE DOES, EVEN THOUGH THE STOCK CBR250R IS ANYDAY FASTER THAN THE DUKE, I AM JUST TALKING ABOUT THE CHARACTER HERE
THE STEERING DAMPER WAS A VERY GOOD IDEA.. IT HELPS A LOT AT HIGH SPEEDS

WAITING FOR THE EXHAUST NOW.. WILL REPORT ONCE AGAIN AFTER THE EXHAUST IS DELIVERED AND INSTALLED..
NEED TO MENTION THAT DESPITE OF JOEL BUSY IN HIS RACING SEASON HE MANAGED TO REMOVE TIME FROM HIS BUSY SCHEDULE AND COMPLETE THE WORK BEFORE THE DATE THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME.. A BIG BIG THANKS TO HIM..
I COULDNT WAIT FEW MORE DAYS OTHERWISE I WAS PREPARED FOR THE HEART SURGERY THAT IS THE BIG BORE AND OTHER STUFFS.. BUT WOULD BE GOING AGAIN THIS YEAR TO GET THE SURGERY DONE

PLZ DO FORGIVE ME FOR THE SHORT REVIEW, AS THIS IS MY FIRST TIME I AM WRITING A REVIEW
                        ..

                        THANK YOU EVERY ONE

I too got my bike Joeled recently. Here's a list of the mods on my bike right now:
                            1) Front and rear Petal Brake Discs
                            2) Front and rear Steel braided brake lines
                            3) Steering damper
                            4) Intake mod and Simota Air Filter
                            5) Racing Clutch Springs
                            6) Front and rear suspension tweak
                            7) Our group order Frame Sliders
                            8) LED Micro Indicators and SMD Parking lights
                            9) LED Tail Lamp
                            10) Thinking of a paint job

The steering damper and brake mods have made the bike a very sweet handler and the cylinder head tune has improved mid range and top end.

intresting stuff bro... care to give a breakdown of cost incurred.. as to help folks out here

whats the diffrence amount in braking with the new bigger petal disc and steel braided lines..

i am sure the dampner and suspension tweak would have given a huge bump in terms of handling..

                              awaiting your inputs..
