"Temptation is a way to Life."

For long I've been following your threads and pretty much all the goodies which you to the mango man 'magically conjure'.

I've followed every bit of the raceconcepts on the R15 and the Pulsar 220. And lately the CBR.

And it was untill recently when I registered on xBhp that I decided to ask you this.

Sir, hasn't working on the R15 so honestly, for so many years, ever tempted you to not just rewrite history but write the very future?

Yamaha is run by megalomaniac morons. I even doubt if its Chairman has ever ridden a Yamaha bike, or rather ridden a bike at all.

If there's anyone who can do it, its you.

If there's anyone who can create a R25, its you.

Sir, with much respect and admiration I only request you to atleast consider the same.

      Regards,
      A Biker.

^^^ I can understand your emotions here but keeping just performance in mind while making a bike is one thing and keeping market requirement, emission norms and regulation, reliability is another thing.

I am not questioning anyones work here. All i want to say is that there are numeous other factors considered before a bike is designed for a market.

btw, Yukimine Tsuji, CEO and MD for Yamaha India, himself rides an R1 occasionally :-)

How can you say it now matches the R15's ability in cornering? I didn't read any of your modification is on the handling part, all are adding to the performance field.
Under braking also, have you modified the brakes also?

Its as good as the R15, which now makes our CBR, an absolute blast in street and for trackday exploits.

If Dilip Chabaria can design and market Avanti, Joel as hell can do the same with a R25.

Thanks Dreamseller, but I wonder how only suspension tweaking will match its handling with the R15. Harder suspensions will help at fast corners but how is maneuverability going to be improved and then matched with the R15??!!

If I were to hit you, would be easier to hit you with a thin rod or the same rod coiled as a spring?
Think about it and you'll have your answer.

@joel,great work.i always felt the cbr was undertuned by honda.the attachment for dyno-hp is of low resolution.please upload a better pic. the bhp gains are at rear/wheel rite?and the comment on making making more HP than ninja-seriously?!?more than 33bhp or close at crank!cbr on steroids

p.s.and you've only started on the cbr.40bhp single cylinder 250 .maybe I'm stretching my imagination

As you must have seen earlier, Joel had once made such modifications to the R15, that it sounded, looked and could be relied upon just like a regular R15, but went so damn faster than the stock setup. His encyclopediac knowledge is way up there with the best...

Its the passion that counts in creating great stuff. ABikeratheart is right about the attitude of Yamaha India as a whole.
And if at all Joel goes in for a complete homemade performance bike, we should definitely go for it and I'd wish him luck!
But I believe that he has his hands full already with lots of events and appointments. So this proposed bike might never mature... Let me live in dreams for a while though:

RaceConcepts Incorporation, Bengaluru proudly present to you, the RC 250RR- a 250cc 40 bhp 4 cylinder 16 valves faired sports bike for the biker in you. Features:

Well Tested around India on roads and tracks. All this for just Rs. 2.5 Lacs Ex-showroom.

And also, a 3 staged Complete Performance kit that can extend it to a total of 55 bhp. And 7 different choices for gearing.
Ok enough, come back to reality now. We hope it happens...

is the 3bhp power bump only with the ffe or with combination of headwork and ffe.

also will you be sharing the shock-absorber change details or will be a custom job like the headwork which can be done only at your workshop.
