Any big bore plans? Would let me keep the bike for a loooong time

Otherwise I will have to move to a pulsar 400 with four spark plugs.

lol..4 plugs sound like a plan. One plug per valve
Bigbore - well lets see how the market matures. I dont see anyone keen to open the engine. Its like some sort of orthodox assumption that the bike will loose its virginity , especially after having paid close to 2 lakhs.

          ^ Virginity!? LOL :P

A more interesting mod would be the high-lift cams.

The CBR has a lot of potential. Honda has a winner in hand. All it needs is good marketting and awareness. A bigbore will certainly make it a blast to ride, but I dont see a mature market for the CBR yet.

Marketing and awareness are Honda's jobs. We come to you for some eXtraBHP Please make a big, reliable engine for this bike.

I would think that the demand for CBR engine mods will explode as soon as KTM and Pulsar 350 are launched in a year. Wouldnt want my 200K spend to get its ass whipped by something cheaper. Also, there is too much vacant space between the 250cc and the 650cc bracket.

The CBR250R market is now getting diluted with the KTM, pulsar 200 and the new V2 R15. Although the CBR has technically the best engine in the pack, most buyers perceive looks and pricing over the real deal.
Worldover, brand new cars and bikes get tuned right off the showroom. We Indians have a different approach to it. I see that most are waiting for their warranty period or atleast to clock some 10-20k kms before they even think of some serious tuning. Or even for adding an exhaust for that matter, which is a bolt-on only.

We will go ahead with our CBR work. Lets see how it goes. I'm equally excited to do something on the CBR250. Nothing comes close to it, not even the KTM. So there is a long way to go.

We have already hit the 30hp mark a while ago, with our headwork, intake and exhaust tune. More to come soon.
We will need about 2 days to finish, once the bike gets to us.

Joel - Is it possible for you to retro fit the Nissin caliper kit to mount on STD models pls? Ofcourse, I don't expect ABS, but just on improvising the brakes on STD. Tks.

So true... With all my previous bikes I started working on the engine within the first 2000 kms... though in the case of my R15, I waited only because I could not find time to come down to Banglore and meet you... If you had offered the parts earlier I would have started much earlier as was the case with my other bikes... this I can assure you, if I buy (quite unlikely, will go for the Daytona... game to do something substantial with it ) a CBR, within the first couple of thousand kilometers I will be putting it under surgery

There is not much of an issue with the caliper of the STD non-ABS version. What it needs is a braided line, better suspension tune and probably a larger dia full floating disc, which is a retro fit.
Will do an example and post up a few pics and reviews.
