The dyno chart looks promising, given the fact that there is still a LOT of room!! Joel, I'm religiously stuck to this. Please update as and when possible.

OT: Still naked. Waiting for the radiator to arrive.

We have started work on our brand new CBR250R which got delivered from the showroom just a few hours ago. The head is already off.
Will post dyno curves with more updates and an exhaust system as well.
The first CBR250R makes around 28-29hp at the crank now.
We are targetting around 32hp with the second CBR

There is ample power on demand for overtaking tasks and enough grunt to keep the speedo clicking over 120kph all-day. It was one of my best rides on an Indian bike till date, with the engine performing delightfully all day
But Joel...even a stock CBR does the above & I've done much more than that on Kms, speeds yet averaged better FE (29.xx). I'm little confused as what is the effect on the mod? Not to question your ability or talent, but, rather trying to understand as a potential customer

@aagree - You have got me confused all over. Let me explain.
On the same level of spririted riding on a stock CBR, we for 23kmpl and the modded one gave 28.5kmpl. Flat-out riding means, peaking at every gear till redline and never dropping revs below 8000rpm anywhere for a gruelling 3-4hrs.
Anyways, our concern is not the fuel efficiency, but thats just an added benefit.
We had a drag shoot-out with a stock CBR and our tweeked CBR. Video will come-by soon!
Its really hard to explain few things even after posting a dyno curve. Today, what we saw was a 12kmph bump in top-speed in the same distance as what we tested against a stock bike.

Regarding flat out, I once did such a ride from Pokhran to Bikaner where the desert is completely straight where one can keep over 200+ & I kept mostly in 125ish & above (which is slightly less than 8K RPM) but for over 2 hours straight (again less than yours) & I vaguely remember the FE to be around 28 (slightly less than yours).

As you said let's talk about performance as FE isn't a great difference; I'm looking forward for the video on performance. I'm all excited to see the 12 Kmph bump, which I assume is about 160+ Kmph

Sry if I'd confused, but your answers are perfect to my questions & let me know if the above post of mine still confuses you

@aargee: I think the spirited riding that joel meant involves frequent gear changes like in city riding or maybe riding in the hills which definitely drinks more fuel than constant throttle in top gear. So, the increase in FE is definitely appreciable.

@aargee - My ride was going flat out on a decently crowded chennai - bangalore stretch, with constant downshift at any point below 9000rpm and with a good amount of riding inside the bumper to bumper chennai city traffic as a mix. Another stock CBR returned 23kmpl on the same ride. YOu sure cant compare a desert ride with straight lanes!
The high speeds that you clock on an open highway in a constant gear will always return better FE than the same ride with frequent gear shifts. Lets get back to performance mode now

Our second brandnew-5kms clocked- CBR is also ready and now in running-in mode. With a slightly more radical cylinder head upgrade, this one is like an angry bull till 5000rpm already!
