I honestly hated Pulsar always. But this thing, the one in Yellow just swept my heart away.Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post

Yes Payeng, what I wrote about TVS is because, after RTR, everyone would love to see them with even better performance oriented motorcycles. RTR in itself has pretty good areas for improvement. But as it was pointed out earlier, a not-so-big manufacturer needs to follow one path at a time in order to make a mark. And it seems TVS may have opted a different path for now.
Back to the new Pulsar, it seems that some of us are a bit uncomfortable as Pulsar 200NS might resemble another motorcycle, especially the headlight. I don't understand what's the issue in there? Whether it resembles anything else or not, it's a very nice aggressive styling overall, and that's what counts. Everyone takes inspirations, and if Bajaj has taken any inspiration at all, then it's absolutely fine. If someone wants, then he can even say that Bajaj copied the perimeter frame from R15! But that's not the case, is it?
Please look at the overall motorcycle and it has its own originality pretty much. Infact, as I wrote in one of my previous posts, it still has a small connection with the original pulsar styling with recognizable side panels and tail light.Last edited by Satellite.kid; 02-01-2012, 01:01 AM.

Design wise the bike looks BRILLIANT,however heavily inspired by other manufactures but that doesn't mean they copy pasted it.
I just bought rtr 180 and loving its unique posture so far.And within one week I find this one to get launched :P
The problem with bajaj exclusive bikes so far is the waiting period and non availability of test rides.Happened with me when I was thriving for ninja 650 and now this will definitely sell at least 20 times more than what ninja would have sold off so I am not sure of how long the waiting period would be.
23.5 bhps sounds YUMMY but wt d hell is on with that claimed mileage of 58 kmpl :| Seems so very unreal but yeah at 50-55kmph most bikes would manage to give that :P
A brilliant up beat design my Bajaj. So happy to see Indian manufactures do this. But then yet again a lot of tech advancements were borrowed by KTM as told by other users here and on other websites too.
The yellow one looks like a decepticon bumblebee
I guess the bike sale rush will get settle after 4-5 months of its booking date launch.By that time I'd enjoy the uber awesome fun apache is giving me right now.I drive the bike even after 50kms of drive back from office.Hopefully this bike would give the same comfort and awesome rev response.
Also I am guessing if Bajaj claimed that price would be under 1 lakh(without actually quoting whether it's on road or ex showroom) then even if the 95k ex showroom price with all other things would add up to somewhat around 1.10 lakhs to 1.15 lakhs which will definitely steal the show for all the performance lovers.+1 for the bike at drags, just have to see how's the handling is and that will obviously come after hefty reviews later

Hero Moto already seems to be losing in the performance category.. but that category anyway doesn't count much for them as compared to the world largest selling bike Splendor and its cousin, the passion.. as long as their Splendor/Passion continue to sell the way they are.. they have no reason to sweat.Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostThe biggest problem is going to be for Hero Moto now, with no collaboration with Honda anymore, they are on their own on how to create a desirable motorcycle. Just putting Honda engines in frames is not going to help anymore, and that's also there till 2014 only. What after that?
But yes for enthusiasts.. they have an issue here.
Easier said than done.. the R&D at TVS looks to have its hands full at developing automatic (CVT) scooters, scooters/bikes with new automatic transmission, commuter & performance step thru for Indonesia and launch executive class motorcycles (Radeon 125 and Victor) in India.Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostTVS also seems to be a very capable manufacturer that can create light and aggressive machine. RTRs have been very good, but they are getting old now and TVS needs to do something as radical as Bajaj to pose a challenge in performance motorcycle category while also keeping it little exclusive.
It's R&D will really have to stretch themselves to develop (outdoing the next gen Pulsar would itself be a huge task) the Next Gen Apache RTRs. Also by the time they get time to develop it, Bajaj would have pushed the envolope even further.
AgreeOriginally posted by Satellite.kid View PostSuzuki motorcycles India is literally sleeping at the moment it seems.
After setting the bar quite high with the CBR250R, I am pretty sure that that would be the benchmark for Honda in India for the next 4-5 years at least.Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostYamaha and Honda have been more active in bringing motorcycles for enthusiasts with CBR250, upcoming CBR150 and R15. FZ and Unicorn from Yamaha and Honda are very good products considering their price brackets.
After making mark with its R15 and FZ, Yamaha now seems to have volume aspirations.. the SZ and the interest in making autmatic scooters are indications of just that. Yamaha shouldn't forget that its core brand value in India (and worldwide) is making performance/exciting machines.

People still wont listen buddy. I posted long time back regarding rev limiter, as that was my only query, and after that I haven't seen anything useful. It looks like a FB page here.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostBe the change you want to see in the World - Mahatma Gandhi
Have you checked how many posts I have made on this thread, and compare with your consecutive posts (multi quote option is there too) and its only as per your post, let the deliveries happens and then post.Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View PostYours included... :P lol...
The point is there isn't anything valuable that we possibly can discuss right now... Lets the deliveries happen, then come and check out the war of words here...

All I have seen on this thread is "its a copy cat, they took 10 years just to introduce this, why KTM badges has been removed...etc etc."
Personally I have never been a Pulsar fan (going with the flow of brand war), I found this NS quite good, whether its style, tech specs, or the most imp the power to weight ratio and the frame.
Lets welcome the change first and then pointing out the consLast edited by prateek2210; 02-01-2012, 12:40 AM.

I would ask the reverse question here, "Why would you choose Pulsar 200 over Duke 200"but I guess its pretty obvious...
If unnecessary, please dont delete. Instead, take it as a actual question and try to answer.

Lol... nice one...
It would suit it better, given the torque and power it produces...

Well sorry for yet another useless Post
Why don't Bajaj Rename the Bike to 200NFS.......
To escape any legal notice from Electronic Arts it can validated as
Pulsar 200 Non-Faired Sports
and for our point of View we can have it as 200 Need For Speed
