Not sure why this bike would make you feel proud, I don't know of any Indian automotive company that can build vehicles, whether ground breaking or not without foreign assistance, personally I find it rather embarrassing that our country of so many so called highly educated people, can't come up with something indigenous and at the same time class leading.

    +100 to that,

Apart from the engine head everything below is the same as the KTM, including the block, bottom end and transmission. Even the oversquare bore stroke ratio is the same as that on the KTM.

Pulsar makes these power and torque ratings with a three spark plug configuration when the KTM uses just one.

Moreover there is a bike called Pulsar 135 - World's 1st 4 Valve DTSi bike, 68.1 km/l certified by ARAI.

With 13.5hp @ 9000RPM it did outperform most of the 150CC bikes which includes the FZ16. But practically did it make any sensation? I dont think any potential FZ buyer would have ended up with P135. It even failed to make an impact on 125CCs Sales chart, still the 8yr Honda Shine 125CC is the best seller in its class.

NS looks perfect on papers, like the P135 did, Not sure how the NS would steal the market.

It would be better if Bajaj makes their Pulsar product line a Static one like Honda, Yamaha, than dynamic.

Pulsar will continue to evolve and expect to see bigger pulsars in future.. if not different.. then similar to future products from KTM. Expect to see 350cc Pulsar. The development will run along with KTM engines

Whatever Bajaj is today.. is because of Pulsar. He compared Bajaj & Pulsar to Apple and Iphone.

      Patents filed on Triple spark.

Faired version of Pulsar 200 NS will look much better and meaner. Its more appealing than the Naked sports. Will feature probably the Projection headlamp.

Higher capacity versions of bike will have projection headlamps.

200NS has been bench marked against P220.. and 200NS is the best 200cc bike in the world.

      More Probiking showrooms.

Bajaj will not increase money on advertisements.

More intense Pulsar ads in future after the product gets launched. O&M working on it.

Launch in April. Price not revealed but should be around 30K less then the Duke.

Fi version will be launched on the basis of market feedback.

My own observation.. after sitting on bike :-
Bike is tall and should be an easy handler. The Handle is more upright and not very sporty.
Tank is plastic. Overall fit and finish is very good. Loved it.

    Tank is plastic...please elobarate

@MG sir & Sunny bhai, when do we get to read first impressions of P200NS, please let us know.

Rajiv Bajaj mostly comes across as a straight forward guy, but in this instance, it seems that he don't want to reveal complete product plans. May be he just wants to keep competition in the dark. Surely, there will be newer models below P200NS or atleast updates to current line-up.

Correct. If my mum were to give me a chappati, would I eat it, or trouble her saying that it has been copied from the neighbor's, as she makes chappatis too?

You're getting good bikes, and still you go nuts over a headlight resemblance. This is how immature the Indian market is. Rather than finding genuine faults with the bike, they go about how "copied" it is.
Suddenly, the "only 10 litres tank" and "low mileage" complaints of Duke seem so mature, because that is a TRUE demerit, compared to this headlight complaint which is just nitpicking.
Think positively guys, try finding merits before you find demerits.

Anyways, since it has gone for patent application, what will this technology be called? D-Triple-Si? D3Si? or just Triple Spark Ignition (TSI)?

Why dont you lend a hand? I'm pretty sure you would have a similar view of yourself.
Again, without caring for whether this is offensive or not, every person is entitled to his own opinion.
If someone feels proud of the fact that with/without assistance, an Indian company was able to close the gap between the world ruling vehicle manufacturers and themselves, it is his own view and not binding on others.

Pulsar is a brand itself, just like Bajaj, you know that?? Pulsar Brand is an asset for the company. It's obvious company wants to project in that way only. Bajaj word is anyway missing from the tank in existing P220 & P200. Only the Bajaj logo & "Pulsar" is present. The Bajaj logo on the top of the headlamp is also present in existing models.

Pulsar is in itself a brand & Bajaj wants to potray it that way only.
