what an example MJOriginally posted by men_in_jean View Post^ So what are you trying to prove then?
With the engine block of D200, Can anyone build a bike around it? Bike is not only about the engine even though it is something important. In this case, Bajaj and Bajaj(Co-owner of KTM) has built an engine that is part of P200NS. That doesnt make the bike KTM technology.
Let us take an eg. Person A(say sankar) got heart transplantation done from Person B(say vijay). So you do not go and call saying sankar is actually vijay. or do you?
In case of Pulsar the heart is not even completely Person B's. Since it has been jointly developed.

We all know about Bajaj and KTM, yes the 125CC and 200CC were Jointly developed by Bajaj and KTM, while KTM had offered the "Know-How" part of the agreement.

well i think this time it's going to be like the game of 220 street and 220F. first 200 street and then some body kits and front uplifts to bring up a 200F.and may be with a FI.just coz the first FI 220 didn't go well.

It may not be this one(P200 NS), coz the ones that were tested did not have rear disc facility.Originally posted by J K View PostGuys, you remember this ? ? ?
A "RIDE" by Utsav..!
Is that specs (BOLDED) came some what close to the actual product??
Seems to be good..!
May or may not be..I'm just telling.Originally posted by Rahul.Gvli View PostDoes this mean that these (200 NS) are not tested to it's maximum capacity ?

With all due respect on Bajaj,Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostDo you remember, when Bajaj first acquired stake in KTM back in 2008 or was it 2007, immediately they displayed Race & Stunt concepts based on 125cc engine, you think KTM developed them just like that? those were completely developed by Bajaj. Once they entered into a binding agreement, these products got push and they decided to develop bikes on this platform, when I say platform i'm talking about engine. Of course the chasis/frame used in Duke are from KTM, but in Pulsar Chasis/frame are different to that used in Duke. So, they share basic engine block, head is apparently different in both bikes and probably transmission.
Oh yeah, reagrding your yardsticks.. Pulsar is more into creating categories rather than competing with existing ones. Perhaps you remember when P150 came in it did wipe out competition, but for bikes such as P135LS/P200NS there is no competition as they are unique. On price, you may end up comparing with some bikes, but on performance you again need to look for a different set for comparision.

I am not protesting against Bajaj, Honestly speaking Bajaj has raised the benchmark once again with this launch.Last edited by HarishK; 02-02-2012, 07:06 PM.

exactly, so the one i was chasing was either a 125 or a 135Originally posted by antz.bin View PostMaybe the PuNS was tested with a KTMish Paint Job. Since everyone knew about the KTM, they could have easily gone about doing their testing undisturbed. The non-rear-disc variants were the ones they couldn't hide since they were actually different from the KTM in that regard.
How else would you explain this:

Why couldn't the 23.5 Ps bike just zoom away from PrinceSirohi's 13.5 Ps Pulsar 150 UG3?
BAL had an option to bore out KTM200 engine to 220 or 250 CC, but they didn't do it and used the KTM200's block as it is.Originally posted by RascalAngel View PostIndian Market is not as mature as the European markets also there is no power limit (age-wise) in India(the very reason duke 125 was developed and restricted to 15ps).
The way i see it duke 125 or for that matter 125NS wont be launched in India(that's why we have the 200 twins)plus with 135LS selling in appreciable no's the only way Bajaj can bring 125NS is by shelving 135LS.Which would be the "TVS Victor" way.
What i though believe that the bike #princesirohi encountered could be new 135 with bored out 125 engine.that way you get better performance and u retain the segment.
SO -->
it might be possible that there will be a Pulsar 125NS and not 135, and it will use the block of KTM125. and may come without rear disk as seen on test bike to keep the costs down and affordable.
btw, i wanna know, will there ever be a P 250 FS in this year.??

Does this mean that these (200 NS) are not tested to it's maximum capacity ?

If Bajaj continues to produce such products then the day is not far when Bajaj will overtake HMC as the largest bike manufacturer in India and will certainly gain tons of respect in India as well as abroad.
Kudos Mr. Rajiv Bajaj!!
+ 100000 to that... Amen...!!!
