Truly said. Its not about copying. Its all about looking good, performance and pricing. The p200ns is indeed great looking. Even the detailing on small parts are done quite brillianty. It looks way different from the prev.pulsars, but still resides a pulsar touch on it, which is very good. Bajaj has reached new heights of glory. The pulsar brand is now stronger than ever. Hats off to a brand which was a 'nothing' before 10 years and being superior to all its rivals in every respect right now. I dont think bajaj rest on its laurels after this. Hoping for other siblings soon.Originally posted by J K View PostFOR ALL GUYS WHO ARE TALKING ABOUT THE "COPY CAT", "TOTAL RIPP-OFF" "BAJAJ COPIED CB1000R"... TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PICTURE.
In this, we can see that head light of YAMAHA R6 and BWM 1000RR is SAME. I mean SAME. Even the cut portion through middle of Headlight is same. Any one called this a copycat? Never. No discussions about that. And tail light also looks almost same. Any one discussed about that??
Guys, all Naked bikes looks almost same. When BAJAJ done, P200NS, it's head light came some what same to CB1000R. Is it looking good? Don't blame BAJAJ for this.
Good day. This AWESOME P200NS rocks..

Waiting for an exclusive test ride. Bring it on guys.

Good Observation there. I think this would be for the rear piece of the tyre hugger to prevent mud splashes for the sensitive massesOriginally posted by nitrosatya View PostThe bracket on the swing arm suggests ABS possibility on future version? Or maybe the ugly mudguard.
If I were to buy it, the rear hugger would be the first piece to go off the bike.

Hats off to Bajaj for this one
I have never been a fan of the Pulsars till date. Eventhough I started my Biking career on the P180 UGIII which I bought way back in 2007, I learnt everything about bikes on my P180. I used to hate the Pee's for its traditional characteristics of the Gearbox and engine performing so bad within a year and their designs were so redundant and stale.(come on, new stickers and colours were boring)
I fell in love with my ZMA for its style and comfort (I used to tour like a King sitting on a throne).
But today, I have to admit that Bajaj has done a brilliant job with the new PuNS and this is going to be another radical step for the whole Indian Biking Scenario.
I see that there is a certain amount of unrest on this thread saying this and that is missing and could have been there.
Well, this is Bajaj's strategical move and they have struck the right chord.
If you need FI and inverted shocks, go for the Duke.
If you need FI and Mono linked suspension go for the R15.
If you need ABS, buy a CBR.
Its not right to expect the bike to have every single goodie loaded on it and sell for a sub 1L OTR price.
Again, I'm not a Bajaj fan but I am just trying to appreciate this mind blowing effort from their stable.
Lets see what the guys from Hosur are gonna reply to this.
In a nutshell, biker fans in India are gonna have a real treat of bikes to choose from in 2012-2013..
\m/ PEACE \m/

Hopefully, the fully faired ones(if at all they come), would have aggressive sitting position, and not the upright position of the current NS,and can have changed gear ratios as well....Though I have always considered Pulsars as mini Sport Tourers,bt this could be easily achieved.... and they can have there own racing team like the TVS and Yamahas.with KTM's backup, there is no lookin back....
And looking at this beast,I have dropped my KTM aspirations for now, going to get a car....will wait for 2013...bigger Pulsars....

Alright, it's time to know about when would we get to read "first impressions of Pulsar 200 NS on Xbhp", no doubt it sounds like lot of VFM, but one look at Duke 200, heart says this is the bike you should be buying
. It's a very tough choice between Yellow P200NS and Duke 200 in Orange.

Oh yes, the RTR 160 still is my favourite 150-160 cc bike (not counting the R15 V2.0).Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostYes Payeng, what I wrote about TVS is because, after RTR, everyone would love to see them with even better performance oriented motorcycles. RTR in itself has pretty good areas for improvement.
I can see TVS tying to create niches.. like its attempt at a clutchless Jive or attempt at making Hybrid scooters or even an innovative automatic tranmsmission scooters/bikes..Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostBut as it was pointed out earlier, a not-so-big manufacturer needs to follow one path at a time in order to make a mark. And it seems TVS may have opted a different path for now.
..all that is ok but TVS is forgetting that developing "Brands" is also very important. The very reason why Pulsars ruled for 10 straight years was because of its strong brand equity.
But its like a Chiken and Egg situation, without a good product you can develop a good brand. Victor was a big brand which TVS let go.. Apache RTR is a good brand but it needs to be nurtured.. care for.. and rejuvenated.
Originally posted by Satellite.kid View PostBack to the new Pulsar, it seems that some of us are a bit uncomfortable as Pulsar 200NS might resemble another motorcycle, especially the headlight. I don't understand what's the issue in there? Whether it resembles anything else or not, it's a very nice aggressive styling overall, and that's what counts. Everyone takes inspirations, and if Bajaj has taken any inspiration at all, then it's absolutely fine. If someone wants, then he can even say that Bajaj copied the perimeter frame from R15! But that's not the case, is it?
Please look at the overall motorcycle and it has its own originality pretty much. Infact, as I wrote in one of my previous posts, it still has a small connection with the original pulsar styling with recognizable side panels and tail light.
