Please check this simple DIY thread written by rider @Deville_56 http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...et-change.html . Stock Yamaha FZ 16 comes with 14 T GB sprocket front and rear 40T.

15T is a front sprocket mod to make the the gearing taller and higher top speed on FZ 16 at the cost of quick acceleration.

There is a one step simple solution to th fuel indiacator issue..even the Yamaha Factory shop's engineer (not the mechanic) advised me to do so...here it is:

At the right side bottom of the fuel tank, if you see, there is a plug in joint (a small brass plug jointed to a wire)..that one is the sensor for fuel indicator..that sensor fails to work when it gets covered by dirt ..so please turn off ur ignition, wipe the joint well with a clean cloth (u may use some petrol /kerosene)...and again turn ON the ignition...it willl work fine....

This is a post about My yamaha fz 16 modification into a very different duke 390 frontal looks .

              What i installed :

              ktm duke front tank cover

              ktm duke handle

              ktm duke headlight full assembly

ktm duke visor + led indicators

              ktm sticker

              Paint.

A metal tank specially designed with proper cuts to fit in fz along with the duke tank outside cover

It was a very time taking job but it did paid well off . It cost around 12-14,000 to be precise . If anyone wants his bike to be modified can get in touch with me by mailing me on :- [email protected] or can even contact me on my fb page :- https://www.facebook.com/yash.naik.90

                  3) expected price....?

This picture is not owned by me...

I wonder even with such modifications none of the owners have been able to surpass 136 kmph. I know the time taken to reach that speed has reduced. But still we all need that top end. at least a 140 Kmph.
Wonder if that can be breached. Can any one help? Coz i am thinkin of getting a Bigbore & a 29carb from RaceConcepts.

Btw i already have a Leo Vince Exhaust and a Flat K&N Filter. Would the LV FFE support the 180 BigBore.

Mad Mik, Lucky Luke & Joel Joseph & other seniors if could help.

                    Regards,
                    Rohan
Can we play with sprockets, after big bore....
As i don't have knowledge about big bore or sproketing, i have learnt this from here (xbhp), i m just asking.....😉

My Yamaha Fazer had done 32k km within 2 year span. Now I am looking for a little mod. I heard a lot about Joel's Race Concept FFE and 180cc bore kit with simota air filter. I want to install that FFE only. Does it do any damage to the engine for the long run? Advice please!

Avoid. Reliability is a big question.

If you want to install a big bore kit you are asking for problems galore. Its not just about blotting a big bore kit on to the engine, but also about rebalancing the crankshaft, installing a bigger throttle body with revised jetting, a free flow exhaust and a reshaped combustion chamber head. This is a very high risk endeavour and if you do not have an appetite for taking risk its best that you do not go down this road.

Installing a free flow exhaust is less of a problem. However, even over there it needs to be done properly or else you will face problems after installation. If you are keen on the free flow exhaust then I would recommend that you go for a branded one. It is also highly recommended that you get your fueling sorted out by a knowledgeable tuner along with installing the free flow exhaust.

Do keep in mind that you are not going to get any dramatic increase in power, yes, you will get a sharper responding engine with about 1 to 2 bhp increase. So take a call based on cost vs. results analysis.

I know what you are trying to say. I heard about reliability issues after modifying bike, and I find them Olx too (modified fz etc etc). I dont want a nightmare after installing FFE and running on a empty road and suddenly bike stops due to mechanical fault. Thanks for your suggestion.

Anyone had fitten NGK CPR8EAIX-9 Iridium Spark plug along with NGK/Splitfire Ignition Wire?
AFAIK Stock Ignition Coil assembly might not be suitable to fit into thr above ignition cable.
                                Suggest a suitable DIY method.
                                Thanks in advance.
