The concerned person clearly mentioned he is not using his tooned pulsar much as Duke is there.
And there is no hard and fast rule that if a person is allowed to start a thread for a company he "has" to be officially involved. If this would have been the case, every mod should have received free "goodies" and person who got it, should have been happy with his tooned bike, but he upgraded.

No, the thread was not updated with the experience. The person in question preferred to keep quiet while he bought a new bike. IMO, that is an injustice to other members because being a moderator carries a greater responsibility on the forum. If any experience, good or bad can help someone in making a decision, one must always try and elaborate rather than keep mum.
Yes Mr. AK3D...it was your inspiring words that I quoted... I did not want to quote your name since I prefer the Information to come from you...just like the many owners who had called up in distress to me with failed mods from the Tooner....I prefer that they come forward to share ,than my posting their name. In discussions like this it is better to leave members who are not coming forward to share details of their experience, since all of us Live by Our Choice and everyone is entitled to his/her own view.
This thread is all about members who had come forward to share their experience voluntarily, and we should not drag in anyone ,who is not willing to share for their own specific reason...
Let us honor the feelings of others in this regard, and continue with our sharing. ....."all about Tuning ,with bullet proof mods,with better than Stock reliability."

Only now it is known that it was BLACK MAGIC all along...a Whammy and a HEX on the engine.
I think he is only one who has the capability to challenge any bike manufacturer. Who knows may be he has plans to start his own company to manufacture independent bikes or join hands with another manufacturer to design engines and performance goodies. Lol

It was fun and eye opening going through the past few pages. Thanks to everyone who shared their knowledge and experience, I hope it should save some uninformed guy someday.

He is working on the street hawk? Guess I should contact him.

From what I can gather from the experiences posted here and other forums (specifically a honda forum where the race engineer suggested that using two head gaskets in a city engine is a acceptable practice) the tuner is amaturish at best.

I admit, even I was drawn in by his tall claims and wanted to purchase "upgrades" for my bikes. Then I had a talk with argee and I should be thankful to him that I didnt go forward with it.

Im waiting for a post by a member owning a Race concepts tricked-out Duke 200 or 230 or 420 (a possible 390 bigbore :P) for either a positive or a negative review of his/her experience with the same. Fingers crossed.

P.S now i get the pun when its mentioned on their facebook page: 'tricked-out' or 'souped-up' xyz bike! Its either the owner is tricked or he's in a soup.

But we all know that's not gonna happen People will still line up with their money and make that lier even more arrogant.

And Big thanks to you and other senior riders for sharing all this with us.

From a Noobs point of view who are not hot roders but just want something more out of their bike, a simple maths:

* Onroad price of a KTM Duke 200: roughly 1.57 lkhs
* Tooner's price for the Big Blown kit "and other goodies" : 40 - 50k
* Expected BHP over stock: +/-5 bhp on a 25 bhp motor. Knowing his work i am giving 2 bhp.
* Warranty: Phone switched off the moment the parts a are sold,
* Reliability: 0
* Expected engine seizure: under 3000 - 5000 kms,
* Who's fault: YOURS!!
* Look on your face: Priceless!! (for the other riders and the SVC for getting to make money out of your seized engine)

Total cost (Approx): 2.07 lkhs (Plus 15-30k for an engine rebuild after everything goes Kaboom!!)

* Onroad Price of KTM Duke 390: roughly 2.07 lkhs
* Warranty: 2 years or 30k kms if i remember correctly,
* Expected bhp: 43.5 bhp stock motor
* Reliability: As reliable as any other bike. With NiCaSil bore chances of seizure reduce even further.
* Expected engine seizure: based on Servicing & Maintenance over a lakh and half kms before engine overhaul. One may experience compression loss but no seizure.
* Who's Fault: Company will consider all manufacturing defects and will replace anything found faulty for free, very prompt if the customer is dissatisfied and shoots a mail to Bajaj back office.
* Look on your face: Happy and Priceless!! (But this time i meant it!! )

Total cost (Approx)
: 2.07 lkhs

Well rest all smart people, use your logic and then do the math.... If bigger the bhp nos. is better, then you are getting over 18.5 bhp for the same amount spent! And that too with OEM company warranty!

Cheers,
