• Re: How about a pan India xbhpian's meet?

Hi Sunny and @Pricesirohi

Here are some pics for Monsoon G2G held in the hills of Mhalshej Ghats( Western Maharashtra ) it was indeed an amazing experience considering monsoons.

just like MG mentioned these ghats won't have their charms in Jan-Feb.

South guys recently organised a 5th Anniversary ISG2G in wayanad ...

It was organised with amazing level of expertise.

just a rough calculation for mumbai guys,
Mumbai - Wayanad - 1140 Kms
Mumbai - Munnar - 1430 Kms

Either of these options are worth a thought.

Guys from Mumbai or pune dont have much options to ride apart from Lavasa, Mhalshej, outskirts of pune or mahabaleshwar. Most of the guys would have covered these places.

South India in Feb with approx 150+ riders it will fun..

This discussion will just go round and round with no solution, both has its own positives and negatives. So a call needs be taken very soon between the destination among the guys who are most likely to join.

Jan end is not far away and for most once the destination and date is finalised then only one can apply for leaves and plan accordingly. So in a weeks time we should be done with final date and destination

Agree with MG as we will have to take a call, as per the suggested locations i.e. Pune (Mumbai Pune guys won't have to ride too much) or Munnar (frequent place for the South guys). Either we can look at more places (Ratnagiri, Marvanthe, Lonar, Tadoba) or decide out of these two. And Pune does not necessarily means Pune, Lavasa, Aamby etc. it could be the beaches like Diveagar, Shrivardhan, Velas, etc. too - around 150-180 kms from Pune.

Also important are the dates as 24, 25 and 26th Jan looks the best option considering the long weekend.

@Parimal Maheshwari in konkan we won't get hotel accommodations for more than 150 people I Agreeto @MG we can have tented accommodations it will be cheap and more people can stay together .. Sandhan valley or malshej ghat can be better options if we are looking out for tented accomodations + it can be easily available at sandhan or malshej [emoji4]

There a homestay option in shrivardhan , they have a facility to accommodate 75+ ppl and adequate parking place , it's just 10min walk from beach . I had enquired there last year for isgtg - mh- gj - ka .
Let me know if u want a contact no. Of tht guy.

Sagar tents sounds like a good option . Home stay for 75+ may not fulfill our requirements considering the number of riders joining in ...
Just a suggestion from my end

When exactly is the event?
Is tent practical In the season?

From my experience, tent accommodation comes with a drawback, mainly compared to a resort or hotel, it lacks easy access to toilet / bathroom.

I will suggest Pune over Manner. Even if I am living in Pune. Mannar is not practical for most northern states. Completely tough for north east etc.

Please Try to arrange accommodation in same place for all.

Local tent wala can be contracted. Or else any of the local function halls can be booked and that space can be used to accommodate all 150 riders and pillions. All those attending can be told to get a thick sheet and a air pillow with them or bed rolls (though I don't see how one can carry that on a bike. This would also solve the toilet as well as catering issues. There are ample function halls around the outskirts of every city.

Just throwing a idea around.
