    yes they are provided so tht we may not be over revving the engine...but the RTR's engine usable powerband is upto 10500 and after tht it falls so thr's no sense of revving it beyond tht...

    so if we're upshifting at tht or say between 9000-10000RPM....who needs rev limiter bro....

    with the advantage to see the needle eat up whole tacho.......

      Nope you are not suppose to post any scanned stuff. Forget abt the 180FI being launched, prolly after another 1 year, we all know how fast TVS is when it comes to launching bikes

          Some points whch were mentioned
          1.Engine is still oversqaure.
          2.The handeling dept. improvement is significant whn compared with the 160
          3.TVS has developed the low and mid range torque , so the top speed has very less improvement
          4.Bike weight is similar (Whch v already know y , same points mentioned)
          5.Newer tubeless tires whch were made are lighter.

          Rest everything v know.

              Rite some says june some says july not getting clear picture from tvs

              EDIT:I got a news that RTR 180 has come to TVS godown so the launch date is very close to june 1st or 2nd week

                  read it on some thread that one guy broke some engine mounts after heavy ripping on the highways..
                  my frnd and i sold of his new apache rtr 160 (tank scoops) due to these vibes after just 4 months in which 2.5 mnths were used to rectify the prob which no one could...
                  RED BULL did'nt give me WINGS, my BIKE did !!

                    Excerpts from Overdrive!!

                    Cranking the new 180cc engine, a deep throaty exhaust permeates my senses.Slot into gear, dump the clutch and the 180 shoots up with gusto.

                    There's loads of churning power available from as low as 2000rpm for good initial thrust and the surge continues till the top.

                    The 180 is eons ahead of the 160 in terms of pure thrill!!

                    TVS claims 0-100km/hr timing of 13.95 secs.If the figures are anything to go by, it's actually almost as fast as the R15!!

                        Me: Hi, I want to know about the RTR 180. What's the launch date?
                        Lady1: Yeah, it have been released but not launched and no idea about the launch.
                        Me: Released? Do you have prices and specs?
                        Lady1: Wait a min .. redirected to a gentleman
                        Gentleman: Yes sir?
                        Me: I just came to know that RTR 180 has been released, so do you have some specification sheet or price for that?
                        Gentleman: gave phone to a lady
                        Lady2: Yes sir, it is released and it came to showroom(at this point I was really excited) but went back. And we are getting it soon.
                        Me: Good. What's the price? Do you have any specs sheet?
                        Lady2: No sir, soon it will come back to show room for showcasing and test rides.
                        Me: Any idea of price? And when did it come to the show room?
                        Lady2: Price: no idea, guess: at least 70k. Day before yesterday.

                        Then she took my number for future contacts and told me that she would call me as soon as they get one in their showroom.

                            Atleast the bike will be more driveable in city 160 has power above 3k rpm
                            Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

                              I really wonder what's taking TVS so long to launch a simple upgrade of a bike.It doesnt have any exotic item to test for long term reliability!!

                                Probably TVS is mulling over how to price the RTR 180.. The FZ with half-fairing probably will also be launched soon.. also Mr. Rajeev Bajaj recently made a comment on Bajaj soon launching the fastest motorycycle made in India. which should mean the 2009 P200/220 ones.

                                maybe its a wait and see on how the competitors price their new products.
