      • Looks like TVS' styling department has been paying close attention to the work of Honda's Japanese Design team.

        • ^^ heh heh heh !!!
But good that at least TVS will provide the full block rear fender too. The CBR style rear fender on the RTR will be a nuisense on Indian roads in monsoon. These will spray a real bad mixture of water and dirt on the vehicles below and to oneself too .
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

          • The latest Autocar has the 180's first ride report. I am really pissed off with TVS, the engine is the same typical vibey one is seems. Not much refinement .

Do the TVS people have a NVH department ? So many people complain about it and after so many delays in the launch they again launch a unrefined engine . I don't think the bike has DC electricals too. What a waste. I dont think this bike is worth more than 3 to 4k over the RTR160.

It is the same mill Rags, but AFAIK from people inside TVS the mill has been extensively worked on. They eliminated vibes, over-heating issues etc as much as possible. The vibes, last I heard have significantly reduced too. Anyways I cannot comment anything without a ride. And yes, DC electricals is a let down.

                • Dont tell me, you would not like to have DC electricals on a bike .

                  • I would definitely like to, but not mandatory. First priority is the bike should move fast... then everything else comes into picture.

                    • In bike india June magazine they have mentioned that the bike's wheelbase increased weight was managed by lighter tubeless tyres(both at front and back) and lighter crank.. So the weight remains same as that of old RTR.. The bike's tubeless tyres are better than old tubed type.

Any feedback on the engine smoothness?

This month's Overdrive also has an article on RTR.

There once was a woman who was quite begat.
She had three babies named Nat, Pat, and Tat.
She said it was fun in the breeding,
But found it was hell in the feeding
When she saw there was no tit for Tat.

I very much do. Even the RTR160 cud have done with a 6th gear. the gearing is soooo short! U reach the rev-limiter in no time and the engine keeps screaming during highway runs!
