it will be 173.3 cc bike then with 10.3:1 comp ratio. almost equal to R15. Only thing would be we would have to use Power or Speed petrol then for carb. version.
Too much technical jargons .. I can't understand any bit of these . Just tell us which one is better ?

        • I always liked the RTR 160 for its handling.. with the extra grunt (17Ps which is equal to that of ZMA), and weighing just 137kgs.. the RTR 180 has become quite an attractive option to have.

I understand that in these recessionary times, expecting a total makeover or a completely new model is difficult. Just hoping that TVS doesn't mess up with its pricing.

          • if the pricing is something like what its rumored to be, its a big kick in the a$$ for rtr fi owners. like me

            • the FI retails for about 75000....

the RTR 180 should be around 67000-70000...IMO....

lets see how TVS price this machine....in any case it'll attract loads of buyers as it'll have the same madness of RTR 160 with lil' more grunt........

but tht'll put FI in trouble for sure......

              • An increment of Rs. 5,000 (about 70,000) over the carb RTR 160 seems to be the sweet spot for me..

                17 Ps
                Wider 110 section, Tubeless Tyres
                Rear Disc brake
                Special White Color

                Rs.5,000 extra..?? Yeah why not..??

But if its (carb RTR 180) above 75,000.. the equation gets altered a little.

yes for 5000 bucks more it's justified as these four things are 'lot'....

but anyone who has known RTR will jump for 180 and wont be buyin 160 FI....
in my case i would hve gone for 180 if i was to purchase a bike at this time....

but i'm having PARTY with my FI........

                  • in that case, will TVS have a "bring ur FI, take home the 180" scheme?

Ready to prefer/choose a "carb" one (but with more power) over a "Fi" bike..??

                        • The carb set up also makes it easy to fiddle around with performance enhancement mods too.

The one i explained is assumed to give more power output and better performance but regular unleaded will result in knocking and powerloss.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

I was also swinging between RTR Refresh(RD) with somewhat noisy engine and and FI with lots of new listed problems/issues(heating, power loss, ... ) on ownership thread. Now, 180 seems to be the bike for guys like as it is supposed to have smoother engine and more stable handling.

the FI gives more smoothness, crisper throttle responce, instant RPM surge.....

and on handlin department yes the rear 110 will be helping but lets see how those lil' mm's in swingarm will help already superb handling shine more....
